Alia

"Alia! Get over here!" Ray chuckled and wrapped his arms around my body. Letting out a soft giggle, I wrapped my arms around him and succumbed to the warm embrace. Ray's been a close friend of mines ever since he came down to Colombia three years ago, making sure to stay up to date with his businesses. And since then, we've been sure to keep in contact via online.

"Happy birthday! Fuck I haven't seen you in ages!" I chuckled and pulled away, looking up at him. "Look at you. You look great."

"All for this lady—"

Kiki gave him a light slap on his bicep, to which made him wince. They were such a sweet couple and perfectly complimented each-other's obnoxious fucking personalities. It was cute.

Kiki stood up to give me a hug. "You look gorgeous, babe" She complimented, stepping back to pinch the fabric of the satin black dress. "It suits you. You should get more dresses like this."

I tucked a curl behind my ear, smiling discreetly. Kiki was a true friend, and if anything she was the reason why I made it this far. My true sister.

"Thanks bub" I leaned in to kiss her cheek. "You're too sweet."

"I'm right fucking here." Ray grumbled and I barked out a laugh. Looking around, I never realised how beautiful the view from up here was. The glass windows of the top floor overlooked the city scape and I felt myself drift slowly into a simmering comfort. It was much quieter up here in comparison to the casino floor and dripped with luxury.

"Your cousin?" I turned to Ray as the three of us took our seats at the lounge bar. "Where is he?"
"Antonio?" Ray muttered. "He's here somewhere— probably hiding like the fucking dickhead he is."

"Is that so?" I mumbled and Ray shrugged.
"He texted, saying he'll be up in like 5 minutes so he's either hitting up a woman or pissing in the bathroom."

I nodded. Antonio... that name sounds foreign.. yet so fucking familiar to me. "Is he the type to do that?" I raised a brow with a smirk and Ray chuckled.

"Probably... anyways, forget him" He muttered and made himself comfortable sitting opposite of us, his arms laid against the lounge couch. "How's everything? Have you settled in?"

"Oh it's been great" I replied, nodding. "My apartment's still in the middle of getting sorted out but I'm planning to get it done by the end of the week. As for Uni, it's been going well. My classes fall under a suitable schedule so I had plenty of time to do some work in between—"

I gasped and slammed my palms against the table. "—oh and I managed to get a spot at the GC news for an internship! GC-news! My induction's tomorrow."

"GC news?" Ray's ears perked. "Ah so you're stuck with Grace."
"Who's Grace?"
"Grace Garcia" Kiki butted in and both Ray and I turned our heads to her. "GC news' CEO. I'm surprised you don't know her. She's one of the biggest fucking journalists here."

My eyes widen at the sudden news. "Really?"

"YES." Ray and Kiki said in unison. They looked at me in silence for a few seconds, my face frowning in pure confusion.

"You don't know her?" Ray spoke up and I pursed my lips, shaking my head.

"Never heard of her."
