Prompt: As the Halloween Moon cast a red glow over the humdrum of New York City, a hero watched, tense, and worried. The invasion was only a few hours away, and all they could do was wait.

IF THERE IS ONE THING ARIANELL LYALL HAD GROWN to despise it was waiting. She had never been a patient person. She hated waiting for anything.

Sometimes when she'd go get coffee Arianell would go if her suit. Silver Wolf gets coffee quickly while Arianell has to wait in line. It could be seen as an abuse of power, but Arianell believes saving the city from criminals and the more extreme villains makes up for it.

But this is something she didn't know how to deal with.

Halloween is a day she loves to take off. Of course, it's also a day villains and criminals like to go out and cause issues. But typically, Arianell lets the other heroes take care of it but not tonight.

A red glow was cast over New York City, her hometown. She lived in Staten Island. She used to be in Manhattan but had moved over to Staten Island. There were less heroes to deal with here and Arianell liked that.

Of course, her arch nemesis would follow her over here. Arianell doesn't even know how he did it but he did.

The full moon tonight was a blood moon casting a red glow. But it was much more intense than it should be. None of the citizens knew of what was to come and Arianell knew she couldn't evacuate any of them in time. Even if she could there was nowhere to run to.

What was happening was happening in other places. All Arianell could do is wait and hope she could fight some of them off.

The sound of footsteps behind her awoke her from her worry.

She turned around and frowned.

There stood her arch nemesis and the super villain of Staten Island: Bronze Siren.

Despite the name siren her archnemesis isn't a woman. He's a man. She had never seen beneath his mask. Interestingly enough, unlike other villains she's fought his mask is like the ones she saw during the pandemic.

It was a bright gold which contrasted again sepia skin. He walked over to her and sat down next to her.

Arianell was surprised at his calm demeanor. Typically, if he appeared she was about to get her shit rocked not long after. There's a reason he's here archnemesis and it's not because she could beat him.

If anything, he seemed to enjoy toying with her. Before she could make any final moves on him he always disappeared.

"What are you doing here? Come to gloat?" Arianell asked.

Bronze Siren smiled. "You think so little of me little wolf." He chimed.

And of course, he never called her by her actual super name. It was Silver Wolf and he never called her by it. It was always little wolf. He was a permeant thorn in her side. There was no escape from him. Not even in the face of an invasion.

"Considering an invasion of your species is about to happen, yes I do think little of you in that regard."

Bronze Siren made a small hum.

"It took you awhile to figure out that I'm not human." Bronze Siren noted.

"You shrug off every punch like nothing, I've crippled men twice my size and you walk everything off. I've seen you get shot and you have a tendency to disappear. It's not hard to see that you're an alien." Arianell retorted.

He laughed.

"An alien, you know I consider you to be one." Bronze Siren told her.

She rolled her eyes.
