Day 26

It's finally Monday! I've been waiting to see Jungkook since that day on the rooftop. I feel like everything is finally clear. Everything is finally piecing itself together. And not a moment too soon. There are only four days left. Damn, time is a joke. I feel like just yesterday I was running through the university trying to find the owner of the ID I mysteriously had. I chuckle at the memory.

I head past the gates and straight to the art room. But the moment I stepped into the room, my smile disappeared. It was empty. I look around, expecting him to be hidden somewhere. The room was tidy as if last week's incident had never happened. I check my phone and realise I'm 30 minutes earlier than usual. I decided to unpack my belongings and finish off my most recent painting.

Fifty minutes passed, and he didn't show up. I checked my phone, hoping to find a message from him, but there was nothing. I decide to send him a message before continuing my painting.

An hour passes.

*Ding*

My eyes dart to my phone. He finally responded, but all he said was, "I'm feeling sick, so I won't show up today."

I sigh. What a bummer. I really want to see him. But there's not much he can do. I decided to stay and continue painting since I dont have anything else to do.

Day 28

I check my phone waiting for his response. Seriously? It's been two days, and he hasn't shown up to university. I've messaged him multiple times since yesterday but he stopped responding. I felt a sudden wave of anxiety creeping up my neck. There are only two days left till he...

He wouldn't have...right?

My knee bounces and I bite my nails while staring at my phone. I thought that day on the rooftop was the answer. Something must have happened.

Shit.

I should have checked on him that same day. I grab my bag and dash out of the art room. I don't even know where he lives. But I know someone who might.

I groan at the thought of talking to him but I have to do this for Jungkook. I run around the university searching for Chul. I ask around and students give me different locations. Is he even in today? I head to the last spot, the cafeteria. It was surprisingly empty. My eyes scan around until they land on Chul. I let out a sigh of relief. Thank God! Chul was leaning back on his chair while his friends chattered around him. I make my way towards him and stop next to his chair.

"Chul", I call out.

The table went quiet and all eyes were on me now. Chul looks over and lets out a single chuckle.

"You've finally memorised my name", he sneers while sitting upright. His friends started whispering amongst themselves but I wasn't even paying attention.

"I need to talk to you."

"Why? What makes you think I want to listen to you" he rests his chin in the palm of his hand with an annoying smirk.

I clench my fist and push away my pride.

"Please, I need your help."

My eyes were desperate and he noticed that. His smirk disappeared and he let out a tsk. Without another word, he stood up and walked past me. I ignored the eyes of his friends and followed the man outside the cafeteria.

"So what can I help you with?" he says, crossing his arms.

I hesitate. I didn't want to ask for his help but there was no other choice.
