I woke up to the smell of pancakes. I smiled and quickly changed into a purple crop top, a black skirt, and my favorite gladiator sandals.

I walk out of my room and the twins came out as well. We all smirk.

"Race ya!" We yelled. We bolted for the wide staircase. Lynn flipped herself over. I pushed myself to go faster. I made it to the kitchen first.

"Ha! I won! You owe me!" I yelled. Mom chuckled.

"She got your competitive streak." Dad said.

"You're more competitive than me." Mom reply.

"You love it." He said, kissing her.

"Okay, I know you have five years to make up for but please get a room." I said.

"This is our house. Every room is our room." He said.

I made a face of disgust. "I don't want to know." I said.

"Just eat and go to school." Mom rolled her eyes.

I quickly stuff my face and drank all of the OJ in front of me. I grabbed my bag.

"Come on." I said.

Cassie rolled her eyes and stuffed the rest of her pancake in her before chugging the OJ. Lynn took a little longer but got up anyway.

"So any cute boys?" Lynn asked.

I scrunched my face.

"I don't think there's any. But if you think so go for it." I said.

"I'm sure you just crushed her dream about falling in love in high school." Cassie said, looking at her twin's shocked face.

"No just falling in love in general. Although falling in love in high school would be freaking awesome." She argued with a dreamy sigh.

"You know the first love is the hardest right." I said.

She gave me a blank look. "Okay but seriously though. Any cute guys?" She asked.

Someone hugged me from behind. I elbowed him/her in the gut. "Jesus Christ, Maggie!" Nathan yelled.

"Shit." I said.

"Where did you learn that?" He asked still holding his gut.

"Uhhh... self defense. Yeah. My dad taught me self defense." I said.

"Okay... who are they?" He asked, nodding his head towards the twins.

"Oh... um... they're my adoptive sisters." I said.

"And you say there aren't any cute guys. Look at him he's gorgeous." Lynn said. I gave her glare. Mine. Damn where did that come from? Cassie elbowed her.

"Lynn." She said. She stuck her hand out. He shook it.

"Nathan." He said.

"Even his name is hot." Lynn said. I shut her up with a glare. She hid her smirk.

"Cassie. Excuse my twin's behavior, she's a fangirl." She said. He shook her hand.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you like to hang out today?" He asked. The twins grinned.

I fumble for words. God this is awkward. "Sure." I answer. He smiled.

"Great. I'll pick you up. See you in class." He said. When he was gone, Lynn squealed.

"You two just became my new ship!" She smiled.

Someone hopped onto my back.

"Hi, Mackenzie." I said, attempting hold her up.

She got off me. "How did you know it was me?" She asked.

"I know you." I said.

"So, who are you guys?"

"They are my new adoptive sisters." I said.

"What?" She asked. The bell rang.

"You better explain." She said.

I rolled my eyes and dragged the twins to first period.

They quickly sat down next to me and kept their head down.

"So I hear there's new students." Ms. Valentine said.

Lynn and Cassie buried their face in the book.

"Why don't you come up and introduce yourselves?" Ms. Valentine said.

Cassie let out a small groan. Lynn rolled her eyes and stood up. Cassie got up.

"I'm Lynn." Lynn said.

"I'm Cassie." Cassie said.

"We're twins and we just moved here with our mom." Cassie and Lynn said.

"What no dad?" Harris called out. Asshole.

Cassie glared at him. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." Lynn said, sympatheic.

The day went on until lunch where Mackenzie probbed me with questions.

"What do you mean they're your adoptive sisters?" She asked.

"Remember my mom," I started. She nodded. "She back but Cassie and Lynn we're the New Yorkers Cryus was talking about. She came to take them back but she saw me so she decided it was best to talk to all of us." I said.

"She explained why she left and who they were. And here we are." I said.

"Okay that makes sense." She commented.

"Just one more question." She said.

I nodded for her to continue.

"What was Lynn talking about a ship?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Oh. It was that Nathan asked me out." I said. I covered my ears.

"What?! And you didn't tell me!" She yelled.

"I just did." I pointed out.

She gave me a blank look.

"I need to approve of him." She said.

The rest of the day went on and Nathan picked me up but Mackenzie refuses to let go without a fight.

"So this is my friend Mackenzie. She wanted to meet you so excuse her." I said.

Mackenzie stuck her hand out. He shook it.

"Well, I'm just gonna say it. You're beautiful." He said.

Mackenzie turned into a shocked pink. "Approved." She swallowed.

She left.

Nathan smirked. "Ready to have fun?"
