"You ready lemondrop?" Joe knocked on my door

"I hope this will work" I walked out unsure if my outfit was appropriate, I had on a cami and an open flannel with some skinny jeans and chuck taylors.

"you look great"

"I don't want you to get all big headed but I love you dressed like that" I said commenting on his v-neck white shirt and open button down, with normal fitting jeans and chucks

"really why?"

"Hmmm you look comfortable, approachable. Ahh I know. Glasses. You look absolutely adorable in glasses"

"Thanks... oh almost forgot. These are for you" he handed me a boquet of flowers and kissed my cheek

"thank you, one sec let me put em in water"

I walked to the kitchen and put em in a suitable glass that could double as a vase

"awww you guys it's like a real date, you even match!" Bridget said ruining the moment

"yea til you said that" I said and Joe and I laughed

"Alright now Joe, you have her back at a reasonable hour and don't get crazy" Kevin said in a fatherly tone with a hint of bon qui qui

"Alright, princess you be safe and if he does anything wrong just do what I taught you" then he kissed me on the forehead

"bahaha guys you're nuts! Come on Joeypooh" I grabbed his hand and we walked out of my dorm.

"So where are we going?" I asked while lacing my fingers with his

"It's a surprise." He smiled looking down at his hand

"This is cool."

"We haven't even done anything yet" He chuckled

"Yea, but you're actually not being a jerk and I don't know this is just great"

"I forgot you've never been on a date before"

"yea..."

we started walking through my campus and we ran into some of the mob that he'd gotten to tease me I stopped walking

"Um Joe, can we go the other way please."

"Nope." He smirked

"Please!"

"You're really scared of these people?"

"I may pretend to be tough but I can only take so much."

"They wont say anything and if they do, I'll make them stop"

"promise?"

"promise." He squeezed my hand

We kept walkin and then some bimbo from the group of idiots...ok not nice, some chick from the human road block...Stopped us

"Umm, like didn't you like say she was a total dweeb. Like why are you like with her?"

"I didn't say she was a dweeb I said nerd. Which she is. But she's my nerd and I'm her loser." He kissed my cheek

"umm but, but."

"Excuse us." He gently moved her out the way and lightly squeezed my hand

"See not so bad."

"Not bad at all." I smiled at him

We kept walking and then we got into a taxi and were having small talk then stuff got serious
