Part 40: Time Stands Still

Its officially a new year and Im beginning it in a big way. My heart is beating out of my chest, Today is the first day I'm joining Nick on Tour and I have ZERO idea of what to expect. Im still on winter break so not missing out on classes or anything. Joe sent me some noise cancelling headphones cause he said it will get loud and he doesn't want me to damage my ears...Kevy said to just have fun and pack comfy shoes. But neither one prepared me for being alone-ish with Nick. So many moments on this bus where it will be just us. I handed my duffle to Fiona and she placed it below the bus. I kept a bookbag with me which held my phone and charger, Just in case lady products, my laptop, my music notebook, my earbuds and my iPod.

"Hey, Sugar, you excited?" Nick said from his bunk

"Im nervous, Nick, Im nervous"

"No need to be nervous, I'll be here the whole time" He touched my shoulder and I shivered and blushed

"I know, I just don't know what to expect. Anyways which bunk is mine?"

"That one, right across from me, Mom or Dad will be with us sometimes too they'll be back there but mostly it will be just me and you on the bus. Some places we'll stay in a hotel and on those nights we'll share a room. So like I said I'll be there"

"Just look over your shoulders honey" I quoted Michael Jackson and giggled. I sat on my bunk and looked up at Nick

"SOOO...." Nick said awkwardly

"A needle pulling thread" I said quoting the Sound of Music; Im just full of quotes today

"Can I ask a question?"

"You just did, Nick, but go ahead?"

"Huh? No I didn't"

"Yes, 'Can I ask a question' is a question"I laughed

"Oh, sugar, this is gonna be a wild tour."

"Ask your question, silly"

"Ahh yes, well you never told me how the phone call went. So how did it go?'

"Oh. That. It went well I guess you could say"

"well what did you say? Are you happy?"

"Im happy. He made what I needed to do easy"

"You're being coy with me lol just tell me what happened"

"Siigh; okay well he gave me an ultimatum and I don't do well with those so I chose against him"

"What? What a jerk. what was the choice?"

"It was being friends with you or dating him"

"And you chose me?"

"Of course I did; we were friends first even though you kept being a dick"

"Oh my love" he got off his bunk and pecked my lips

"hey, hey slow down there buddy!" I giggled "I will get off this bus"

"sorry, I just wow. I really feel special"

"You are special but we need to take whatever this is slowly okay?"

"Understood"

Just then Fiona got on the bus and told us where the first stop would be and we took off as she went to the front area; I laid on my bunk and took out my notebook and would glance at Nick from time to time who was also working out of his notebook.

"Hey Nick!" he jumped as I scared him from our previous silence

"Yea?"

"I cant wait to hear this stuff live; youre album is really great."
