ੈ✩‧₊˚Jeonghan stood there, beside the water dispenser, as he watched you engrossed in a conversation with one of the staff members.
A wave of regret washed over him, making him repent his previous actions and words towards you. The weight of his guilt grew heavier as you walked away, disappearing from his sight.
He turned around, his back against the wall, feeling lost in a whirlwind of thoughts.
The truth was, Jeonghan couldn't understand why he had felt so frustrated and jealous witnessing you with Joshua, with everyone around them shipping the two of you.
It was your special day, your birthday, and yet he had let his emotions get the best of him. The guilt gnawed at him, consuming his every thought and emotion.
He felt terrible for lashing out at you without any valid reason. The sudden surge of jealousy had overwhelmed him, leaving him with a mix of confusion and remorse.
Jeonghan couldn't comprehend why he had let his emotions drive him to hurt you, especially on a day that should have been filled with happiness and celebration.
As he stood there, lost in his thoughts, Jeonghan realised the gravity of his mistake. He wished he could turn back time and undo his hurtful words and actions.
But all he could do now was reflect on his behaviour and strive to make amends, to show you how deeply sorry he was for his outburst.
Just as Jeonghan was about to catch up to you and ask for forgiveness, a voice stopped him in his tracks.
"Why did you do that to her?" It was none other than Seungcheol, who confronted Jeonghan with a question. It didn't come as a surprise to him, as he knew that you had already confided in Seungcheol about how he had treated you.
Seungcheol, being the protective friend that he was, couldn't stand idly by knowing that Jeonghan had hurt you.
He wanted to address the situation and make sure that Jeonghan understood the consequences of his actions.
It was clear that you had trusted Seungcheol enough to confide in him, and he felt a responsibility to stand up for you.
"Both Joshua and I are feeling let down. I know how close you are to Minji, but defending her shouldn't involve insulting y/n." As Seungcheol confronted Jeonghan, the tension in the air was palpable.
Jeonghan, feeling the weight of his mistakes, could only listen as Seungcheol expressed his disappointment and concern. It was a moment of truth for Jeonghan, a chance for him to reflect on his behaviour and make things right.
"Jeonghan, going on a few dates with Minji doesn't give you the right to insult anyone who questions her. I won't tolerate anyone insulting y/n like that, no matter who they are." Seugcheol's voice sounded like a warning.
Jeonghan was at a loss for words. In the heat of the moment, he accidentally said something that implied he didn't trust you, but that wasn't true. He does trust you, but his words ended up hurting you. It happens sometimes when emotions run high.
Seungcheol let out a disappointed sigh when Jeonghan didn't respond. He was hoping for a reply, but it seemed like Jeonghan was lost for words.
"I understand, Jeonghan. Regardless of your current disliking towards her, it's important to remember the cherished memories you once had together. She was the woman who captured your heart and made you fall deeply in love." Seungcheol's words added salt to Jeonghan's open wounds.
Jeonghan's eyes widened in surprise as he looked over at Seungcheol. He couldn't fathom how Seungcheol could even think that he dislikes you.
Jeonghan's heart sank at the thought of you believing such a thing. He had never meant to give off that impression, and the idea of you thinking he hated you was unbearable to him.
With a mix of frustration and concern, Jeonghan quickly approached Seungcheol, trying to find the right words to express himself.
" N- no, It's like something inside me snapped when I saw Joshua and y/n together, and i couldn't quite grasp the intensity of my emotions. Maybe it was frustration or something else, but I regret taking it out on her. I do acknowledge that she didn't deserve that." He explained that his words were spoken in the heat of the moment and that he never intended to imply any hatred towards you.
"She means alot to me and I could never imagine myself disliking her. You know that right?" Jeonghan emphasised how much he values you and how important you are to him with a desperation to get validation from someone.
"I wasn't trying to defend minji or anything but the words came out so wrong that it seemed like I don't trust y/n at all and when I realised it was too late to mend things up." Jeonghan poured his heart out to Seungcheol, explaining what had happened and how he felt.
Seungcheol listened attentively, understanding the pain and confusion Jeonghan was experiencing.
He knew that Jeonghan had feelings for you, but he didn't want to jump to any conclusions without being absolutely sure.
Seungcheol realised that Jeonghan needed time and space to sort through his emotions and come to his own realisations.
He didn't want to push Jeonghan or interfere with his journey of self-discovery. Instead, Seungcheol decided to be patient and let Jeonghan find his own path towards understanding his feelings.
He knew that it was important for Jeonghan to explore his heart and figure things out for himself. Seungcheol wanted Jeonghan to have the freedom to discover his true emotions without any outside influence.
He believed that this process would ultimately lead to a more genuine and meaningful connection between you both.
"yes, I do. The next step is to have an open and honest conversation with her, apologise sincerely and explain the situation from your side. I'm sure she will understand and forgive you." With a gentle smile on his face, Seungcheol patted Jeonghan's shoulders and headed off to join the practice.
Relief washed over Jeonghan as he saw Seungcheol's understanding and forgiveness.
He vowed to be more careful with his words in the future and to always make it clear how much he cherishes your friendship. Jeonghan was determined to mend any hurt feelings and strengthen the bond between you all.
