Chapter 31
Jamaica's POV
The world around us felt like it was caving in—shaking, breaking, bending under the weight of everything that had led to this moment. The storm howled in the distance, the winds lashing against us like an angry beast, determined to tear us apart. I could feel the earth's vibrations beneath me, echoing the chaos around us. Every muscle in my body screamed, but I fought to stay steady. This was it. The battle had reached its peak.
Just when I thought we were on the verge of being consumed by darkness, something changed. The air grew still. The wind, raging like a storm unleashed, suddenly calmed as if the universe had taken a breath.
I turned my head, feeling a presence—something ancient and pure—descend from the heavens. The world seemed to fall silent as I looked up, my heart skipping a beat. It was her, the Celestial Mother.
Her form was more radiant than I could have imagined—light cascading from her like a waterfall of stars, illuminating the sky. She was neither of this world nor the next. She was everything, all at once—every star, every galaxy, every breath of wind in the universe had come together to form her presence. She stood tall, her eyes soft but fierce, her gaze filled with love transcending time and space.
She was here.
And she was going to save us.
The storm of darkness engulfed us and began to recede, the oppressive weight lifting. The Destroyer froze, a flicker of fear crossing his face. Even he knew who stood before us now. Then he disappeared from our sight.
The Celestial Mother extended her hands toward us, and with a single, fluid motion, three gleaming arrows appeared in the air. They shimmered with a light so pure it felt like they could pierce the very fabric of the universe. My heart skipped a beat as I gazed at them.
"These are the Heavenly Arrows," her voice echoed in my mind, rich and soothing yet carrying the weight of infinite power. "They will aid you in this battle, but only if you are true to your purpose. They will empower your essence, guide your strength."
I stepped forward, my pulse quickening. She wasn't just offering us weapons. She was giving us something more profound—something that would unlock the full potential of who we were. Guardians.
For me, the arrow was an ethereal thing—an air arrow, its shaft light and delicate yet brimming with an energy I couldn't quite understand. I reached out, grasping it, and instantly, I felt the world around me change. A breeze swirled around me, gently at first, but then it picked up speed, growing stronger with each passing second. The winds obeyed my every command, wrapping around me like a cocoon, making me feel like I was one with the sky.
I looked over at Nel, his eyes wide, as the fire arrow appeared before him, glowing red and hot like the core of the earth itself. It pulsed with a raw intensity, the flames licking the air around it as if they were alive. The fire arrow was meant for him. It was the perfect reflection of his spirit—his fierceness, his power.
And then, I turned my gaze to Kevin. The water arrow shimmered before him, its surface rippling as though it had been pulled from the deepest ocean. It was fluid and graceful, but within it lay a force that could drown the world if unleashed. This arrow was for Kevin—a reflection of his depth, ability to adapt, and capacity for healing.
I felt it then—a connection, a surge of energy that flowed through us, binding us together. The arrows were more than just weapons. They were symbols of who we were, of the bond we shared. We were no longer just individuals fighting a battle—we were united, more potent than ever. And we had something the Destroyer would never understand.
