January 12th (6 more days till The Election)

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing.

"Ugh, somebody, stop that hideous sound." I mumbled.

"Rise and shine sleepy-head! It's almost time for school!" Hailee yelled. (Unfortunately, right by my ear)

"Ow! And easy for you to say. I bet you slept like an angel last night." I grumbled before glaring at her.

"I sure did! Yesterday was the best sleep I've gotten in days!" She said cheerfully.

"Easy for you to say. Your snoring kept me up ALL NIGHT." I replied, still obviously sleepy.

She snorted. "Woah someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. And I do not..snore?"she stated, but a bit unsure.

I rolled my eyes at her before glancing at the clock and groaned loudly. "It's only 7 o'clock. Why were you up so early anyway?"

She ignored my question with a smile. "Now, let's get you all beauty up! Please let me choose your outfit for today; you know what they say; Happy Friday...Happy Outfit....?" she guessed.

"Um first of all, who's 'they' ? And second of all, only YOU say that." I smirked, but agreed for her to pick my clothes.

"Just let me take a shower first." I said before walking to the bathroom.

After taking my shower, I decided to straightened my messy hair, just because I feel like it. I also put on some mascara and eyeshadow, you know, just in case You-know-who sat with me again during study hall. I immediately blushed at the thought. "Wow Emily. Get a grip. " I said to myself. Afterwards, I figured I should go out to see what sort of clothes she set out for me. Knowing Hailee, it's probably something super girly.
******************
Boy was I surprised. It turned out, she picked a knit cropped white sweater, with some dark washed jeans. She also paired it with a cross necklace, I'm guessing just to emphasizing the 'TGIF' point. Believe me, this was not what I expected.

"Wow Hailee, I'm surprised. I didn't expect this at all. " I said gratefully.

"Aw thanks Em. And thank God you straightened your hair. This outfit goes completely with your chestnut hair." She grinned.

"Thanks. But what are you gonna wear? I don't think you should wear the clothes from yesterday. You can borrow something of mine if you want." I offered.

"Thanks but no thanks. Knowing this might happen, since I'm an early sleeper, I bought some spare clothes over." She said joyfully.

"Huh. This girl must be smarter than I anticipate her to be." I thought quietly to myself.

"Anyway, wanna go down at get some breakfast? We still have fifteen minutes." I said, starting to feel really hungry.

"Sure. Let's go! Come aboard the Hailee train." She offered me her hand.

I laughed at her weirdness but accepted it and we yelled choo-choo all the way down the stairs. It was hilarious.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hello mother and father!" I yelled once we reached the stairs.

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. C!" Hailee said, surprisingly shyly.

"Hey girls! Want some breakfast?" Mom asked. "I made tons of food so I hope you girls are hungry! And Hailee, please feel at home."She continued, without letting us reply.

"Thanks Mom!" I said before leading Hailee and I to the dining table.

As soon as the aroma of the delicious food reached my nose, that was it. I died and had gone to heaven. I started grabbing whatever I can touch with my fork and placed them on my plate. I looked at Hailee and see that she was doing the same thing. I have to admit, she's the greatest friend I've ever had since Stacy.

Since Stacy.

I shrugged myself from the wistful thoughts and continued eating.

Study hall, 2nd Period

I was reading a book during study hall when a shadow loomed over me. I looked up and our eyes met.

"Hey Emily. Whatcha reading?" the person asked, while smiling the smile that I always melt for.

"Hi Zach. And to answer your question, I'm reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." I replied, a bit embarrassed that he found out I'm a bookworm.

"Oh...Harry died in the end." He said, while trying to keep a straight face.

I scoffed. "No he didn't, I already read the series. I'm doing a book report on this book so I'm just re-reading it."

"You caught me. Hey, do you want to play Truth or Dare?" He asked, pouting a bit.

As soon as I looked at his cute dimpled smile, I knew I couldn't decline. "Okay...?" I said, my face all flustered.

"Great. I'll start. Truth or Dare?" He asked, grinning devilishly.

"Um Da-Dare." I stuttered, without even thinking.

"I dare you...to do the Whip in front of the librarian." He said finally, trying to stifle a laugh.

"WHAT? No freaking way." I shook my head, trying to emphasize my point.

"Hey you have to. It's a dare." He then gave me puppy eyes that I can't resist.

"Fine." I sighed loudly before tip-toeing towards the librarian desk.
-----------------------------
I stood right in front of Mrs, Roberts, the librarian, desk. I glanced behind me and saw that Zach is beckoning me forward with a hand gesture. I glared at him but started doing The Whip.
At first, Mrs, Roberts was oblivious to my presence. But when she glanced up, obviously sensing someone is watching her, she saw me and let out a small gasp.

"Mrs Covington! What do you think you're doing? Please go back to your seat. You almost gave me a heart attack!" She whispered loudly, while frowning at me.

"Uh...." I said while trying to think of a good excuse. "I'm just uh stretching my arms! Yeah that's right. But I'll be going now. Good bye!" I replied nervously and hurried back to my table, while Zach was laughing his head off.

"That was priceless! You should have seen the look on her face!" He whispered, still laughing.

"Right, but it's your turn. Truth or Dare?" I asked, hoping he would choose dare so I can have my revenge on him.
As if he can hear my thoughts, he smirked. "Truth."

"Do you have a girlfriend?" I blurted out what's on my mind.

"Nope. Why?" He asked curiously but still smirking a bit.

"Uh no reason. Just asking." By now, I was blushing so much, I swear my face was gonna explode soon.

"Hmm....Truth or Dare?" He asked.

"I'm afraid to even choose dare so I'm gonna go with Truth." I said honestly.

He leaned forward until his face is inches from mine. "Who do you like?" He whispered.

"Um I have to go return this book...I thi-think it might be overdue." I stuttered nervously.

I grabbed my book but instead of going to the librarian desk, I went to one of the bookshelves and stayed there, hoping he wouldn't follow me. When I turned around, there he was. He started moving towards me so I kept backing backwards till I bumped into the bookcase.

"Who do you like?" He repeated, but more softly.

"You." I replied simply, but nervously.

Before I can acknowledged what happened, his lips were on mine. After a minute or two, he pulled away and leaned into a nearby bookcase.

"Good. Because I like you too." He said, looking at me with his amazing grey eyes.
