White walls, white light, Xianzhou tapestry, bouquets of flowers, get-well-soon cards and gifts. It's the infirmary of the Alchemy commission alright, not a familiar view but something that Jing Yuan has grown accustomed to for a few weeks now.
Since the fight with Phantilliya, the Luofu has undergone a lot of changes. Jing Yuan of course played a major role in the fight which almost cost him his life, but he did it all for his people and he did it all for you.
He'd only known you for a few weeks before the fight. A nameless, traveller among the stars. But he couldn't help but notice you from time to time in the short while you've been acquainted with each other.
It's dangerous to love and he knows it in his heart. But for once he wanted to see, feel and touch the warm smile on your face. The way you walked, talked, held an air of resilience, and the way your eyes focused on him had him in a frenzy.
His phone lit up as a text popped up, he took it in his hand and saw that it was from you. A wave of excitement washed over him as he unlocked it to respond.
"Evening General, I hope I'm not interrupting your rest but I hope that you're feeling better now"

His lips couldn't help but twitch into a smile as he immediately sent a text back.
"Good Evening, Ms Y/N I am alright, just feeling tired and fatigued but besides that, I feel like my normal self again."
"Oh and also how's everyone on the express, more specifically how are you doing?"
He waited for your response as he watched the three dots intently.
"Everyone's great! Mr Welt is taking a lot of rest, March is being March, Caelus is exploring the ship and Dan Heng is... I'm assuming he's resting."
"Oh, and I'm doing well, just bored and tired after all of that had happened. I would love to go around the Xianzhou but finding someone who knows the place inside out is hard"
Jing Yuan read your text and saw this as an opportunity to see you once more and find a way to get rid of his feelings. (not the usual method but he's trying his best.)
"Why don't I take you around? It would be as payback from me the General."
He hit sent and waited for your response patiently. Each second felt longer than the last. His phone chimed with another text but sadly this time it was simply spam.
He sighed as the feeling of excitement slowly fizzled out. He laid back on his bed knowing that it probably might take a while for you to respond. After all, you are a trailblazer and being busy was nothing out of the ordinary but he wished that for once his lucky stars would lead you to him. All in romantic aspects of course.
