Yashvi marveled at the ice cream parlor's interior, adorned in shades of pink and blue with flowers hanging from the ceiling. It was undeniably cozy and beautiful.
"It's so beautiful," she remarked, her hand on her husband's arm. He smiled at her and pulled out a chair for her.
"The ice cream here is absolutely delicious, Bhabhi. It's my favorite place after the pastry shop," Adya chimed in with a giggle as she handed the menu to Yashvi.
"What would you like?" Advik asked, his hand still intertwined with Yashvi's. He gently pushed her fingers apart to hold hands, a gesture that prompted cheers from his siblings and a blush from Yashvi.
"Brother, you should plan your honeymoon soon. We don't know what we'll witness next," Advait teased with a smirk. Advik glared at him before turning to his wife, who was hiding her face in her hair, ostensibly studying the menu.
"What will you have?" Advik asked, capturing her attention, his eyes drawn to her blushing cheeks.
"I told you I wouldn't let the redness fade; it's still there," he whispered with a smile, gently caressing her cheeks, which made her squirm shyly as she pushed him away slightly. He gave her a playful wink, causing her eyes to widen as she glanced around nervously.
"We didn't see how Romeo winked at his Juliet," Advait commented, his eyes still on the menu but a playful smile on his face. Advik chuckled before leaving a loud kiss on the back of Yashvi's hand. She shot him a hard glare, her cheeks flushed.
"Bhai, at least let her choose her ice cream. I never took you for a PDA kind of person," Adarsh remarked, looking at Yashvi, who was seemingly waiting for the ground to split open and swallow her whole.
"Chocolate chunk cookie," Yashvi muttered as she attempted to free her hand from his grasp, but he only tightened his hold and signaled the waiter.
After placing their order, the four siblings engaged in conversation, discussing recent events. Meanwhile, Yashvi found herself admiring her husband's arms. His veins were so prominent that they had her captivated. She had always had a soft spot for veiny arms, and her husband's well-built physique was adorned with them.
Yashvi sensed someone's gaze on her and turned around to find Siddhi, her father's stepdaughter, and Samar, his son from his second wife. Her pleasant mood quickly soured, but she concealed her emotions. Siddhi's intense glare radiated nothing but hatred toward Yashvi.
She redirected her attention to her family, beaming at Adya as she laughed heartily. Advik also seemed amused. He glanced at Yashvi, raising an eyebrow, but then he noticed the same woman and boy from earlier and suddenly grew rigid. Yashvi tightly held his hand, sensing his discomfort.
"Aap ho na, kaafi hain." She spoke softly as he smiled listening to her and went back to the conversation. (You are there, that's enough.)
They were soon served with ice-cream when he felt her glancing his way. He smiled lightly feeling her eyes on his ice-cream cone.
"Which flavor is it?" She asked with a pout. He chuckled listening to her and pulled her cheeks gently, making her wince.
"Blueberry yogurt." He replied back and she smiled at him sheepishly.
"Mujhe bhi khani hain." she spoke pointing towards his ice-cream. (I want to eat that too.)
"Sharing then?" He asked to which she nodded eagerly. He smiled to himself, reflecting on the difference between the Yashvi he first met and the Yashvi she is now as he saw her take a bite of his ice-cream and moan in delight.
"I need to use the washroom," Yashvi whispered as she noticed a small portion of ice cream had fallen on her kurti.
"Should I come with you?" Adya asked, licking her second ice cream. Yashvi let out a small laugh and shook her head, indicating that she'd go alone.
