Sophie opened her eyes and realized she was in a dream. She couldn't move or panic. She felt calm in a weird way. She was in a room. An entirely gray room with a black door opposite where she was standing. Sophie walked up to the door and opened it. Behind the door was a long hallway. It looked like it would belong in her house, but she had never seen it before. On the walls were paintings, which had faint landscapes painted on them. A select few had landscapes she remembered seeing, but she didn't remember where from. There were also windows, but outside those windows were just darkness. It was lit enough so Sophie could see down the whole hallway. As she was walking through, Sophie saw a table with a clock on it. The clock's hands were spinning violently. She continued to walk through the hallway. Sophie eventually had to turn right, and there was another hallway. This one was the exact same as the previous, but it was shorter and instead of a table, there was a door. She opened this door, and behind it was just a wall. Sophie continued walking and found an area at the end of the hallway that was slightly bigger, more like a room. Sophie had no control of what was happening in the dream anymore. There were two doors in the bigger room. One to her left and the other in front of her. She decided to open the door in front of her. There was a staircase leading to yet another door. She heard very loud whispers of her name. Against her will, Sophie walked forward. But she fell down the very short staircase and woke up. She checked the time and it was 4:00am. Keefe was snoring loudly next to her. Sophie tried to go back to sleep, but she couldn't. Her dream was keeping her awake. Sophie threw off the blanket and went to the kitchen. She made herself some bread with cheese. It wasn't the best thing to eat at 4:00am, but Sophie just needed some comfort food. She walked out of the kitchen, to where Jolie was hiding behind the door. Sophie didn't notice her.

"HAVE AT THEE," Jolie yelled and pranced onto Sophie. She screamed and flung Jolie off of her. Jolie was laughing.

"What was the point of that?"

"I'm practicing my ye old English."

"Why aren't you asleep?"

"Hazel kicked me out of my room because I wouldn't shut up about omelettes."

"I'm sorry, what."

Jolie laughed. "I like omelettes. What aren't you asleep?"

"Couldn't," Sophie lied. Jolie nodded.

"Well, wanna go binge some Netflix?"

"Sure, why not?"

They binged random shows for a while. At 6:00am, Hazel and Keefe went with them. After that, their day was normal. At one point in the day, Sophie and Annabeth discussed of forming the Nico protection squad.

Later in the day, Sophie and Jolie where hanging out in Jolie's room.

"So, like, we gotta start thinking about Halloween," Jolie said suddenly.

Sophie turned towards her. "What?"

"I know we're almost adults and all, but I've been getting into the Halloween spirit this particular one, and as your sister it is my responsibility to drag you with me."

Sophie thought about it for a moment, and nodded. "Are we gonna dress up or...?"

"Yes. And I was thinking we could persuade Mom to let us organize a big Halloween event, like a trunk and treat or something, but it's the whole kingdom."

"That would certainly be cool. It would take a lot of persuasion though."

"Yeah. But it's up to us to get this thing going. If we want it, we need to get it ourselves."

"How about this: my mind is not in thinking mode right now, so how about you ask me again when it is in thinking mode?"

"When will that be?"

"Around dinner probably."

Jolie nodded.

The rest of the day was spent hanging out with all her friends. Jolie had gone and told everyone about her plan. So they started to plan it out even though their mom didn't tell them they could actually do this yet. There were plans for a trunk and treat, a haunted house, and other games that Sophie didn't remember. It was all very overwhelming. Sophie escaped it and went to her room. She laid on her bed and sighed deeply.

She somehow managed to fall asleep during that and had another dream. She was in the same hallway. As she walked down, she noticed all the same features, except the hands on the clock weren't spinning fast. In fact, they were not moving at all. Sophie picked up the clock and shook it. The hands fell off. She put the clock back and kept walking. When she reached the staircase, she didn't fall, but as she was walking down the short stairs, she felt as if she was carrying a great weight. Sophie opened a door at the bottom. It was, again, the exact same. However, even though it was barely noticeable, it was a bit darker. As she walked past the door, she heard banging coming from the other side of it. Every neuron in her skull told her to open the door. Nevertheless, she turned and kept walking. As she walked down the stairs, she fell this time and woke up again. Sophie had only been asleep for five minutes, yet it felt like an hour. She sighed again and made a groaning noise. Then, because she didn't want to go back to sleep, she brushed the very strange dreams aside and went back to where the chaos was.
