It was a special day.

The most awaited picnic.

Krishna and His friends had planned this for so long and were eagerly looking forward to it.

Everyone had arranged something for the meal. Their mothers had lovingly cooked delicious food and packed it for lunch.

All sorts of sweets and delicacies were prepared. Madhu was carrying delicious, plump rasgullas. Subala's mother had prepared scented and mango flavoured shrikhand, Krishna's favourite. Sudama had a basket full of sondesh. All milk products and sweets were also filled in their bags.

They set out for Their picnic to a nearby forest grove. A huge waterfall inside the forest was the main attraction there. Soon, They were joined by the girls, headed by Radha.

They carried pots of butter and milk on Their heads. A few cows set free from Their cowshed and ran along with Them. With everyone's good wishes, They set forth for Their adventure.

Krishna played His flute peacefully as everyone followed Him along, dancing merrily and carefreely.

They soon reached the spot and spread out Their mats and sheets. They all took Their seats in a circle. They seemed like a lotus whorl, with the boys being the petals and Krishna was the seed in the centre.

The boys took Their sweets and fed Krishna one by one with Their own hands. Krishna enjoyed all the delicacies, slowly savouring them and feeling the love and adoration of the mothers that they had sent through Their sons for Krishna.

They all wanted a child like Krishna, and had always wanted to care for Him and feed Him, and now they had Their chance, although not directly. But simply preparing a meal knowing that Krishna shall eat it, had filled Their hearts with great joy and satisfaction.

Radha and Her friends poured milk in small tumblers and served Them. The cows swayed merrily under the calm breeze.

It was all perfect. And there was not a single problem.

"It is all perfect. And that is the problem!"

Chitragupta furrowed His eyebrows and asked keenly. "But how is that a problem, Lord?"

Lord Brahma took a minute to ponder and then replied. "Because if He is actually an avatar of Lord Vishnu, then He should have been doing His duty of diminishing evil, and not sitting here quietly under the cool breeze of a tree and playing around with His friends."

He was seated on His Mount, the swan. When He heard the news of the new incarnation of Lord Vishnu being born in Braj, He immediately hurried to have a look Himself.

But what He saw was way different from what He had imagined. Here, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu sat amongst His friends, carefree and happy, enjoying food being served to Him.
