Jules turned, grinning at me as she held out a witch's hat. I couldn't help but smile back at her as she placed it on my head.

"You are a cute witch," she flirted. I laughed and wrapped my arms around her waist as I pulled her close.

"If anything, I'm a wizard," I corrected, leaning close to her face. She let out a laugh – my favorite one, the one that she always had when I said something funny that caught her off guard – and threw her arms around my neck.

"The grumpiest wizard in the land," she teased. I smiled and kissed her quickly. She beamed up at me and tucked one of my curls behind my ear.

"I think you mean the most handsome wizard," I joked back.

She laughed again and dropped me, turning in my arms. I didn't let her go, pulling her back to my chest and wrapping my arms around her tighter. She giggled as we stumbled down the aisles of the costume store, gasping when I kissed and bit at her neck.

Jules had begged me for days to go costume shopping, and I had managed to avoid it until this morning. She looked up at me with her big eyes, right after we had woken up, and asked me so sweetly that it would have broken my heart to say no.

"What are you thinking?" I asked, pressing my lips to her ear. She leaned further into me, stopping in front of a rack of sparkly tulle.

"I don't know," she replied. She looked up at me, smirking. "Maybe something spooky?"

It was my turn to laugh, and she scoffed.

"I could be spooky!" she insisted. I grinned at her and kissed her temple.

"Pretty girl, a lot of things you are, but spooky is not one of them," I quipped. She smiled and held up a sparkly dress.

"What are you thinking?" she asked, setting the back of her head on my shoulder and making my heart pick up as she leaned into me. I kissed her forehead.

"Do I have to?" I whined, burying my face in her hair and taking a deep breath. She sighed.

"Eddie, please?" she asked softly. I took another breath and looked at her again. She was watching me with those same eyes from this morning, the same ones that could make me follow her to the edge of the world.

I know she was excited for Halloween, and for the party at Steve's house. I could care less, as long as I was with her. I could care less about anything that we did, just as long as she was by my side. Halloween was no exception. But I had never dressed up for it, and I wasn't planning on dressing up, until Jules had looked at me with those eyes.

"Okay, anything for you, pretty girl," I conceded.

She squealed with delight and turned to me to kiss me again. I sighed as she went down the aisle, taking my hand and pulling me along. She was able to get me to do almost anything if she just asked me.

"Should we do a couples costume?" she asked brightly.

I smiled – I enjoyed the idea that it would be easy to tell that we were together, that people would immediately be able to tell that I was with her. I nodded enthusiastically at her, and she beamed at me.

"Are you going to wear something..." I started before I could stop myself. She looked up at me, her eyebrow raised, and I felt my face heat. She grinned.

"Something what?" she asked, her tone teasing and light. I felt the flush crawl up my neck and started stumbling over my words. She wrapped her arms around me, grinning at me. "Oh, you're so cute when you're like this, grumpy."

I smiled and shook my head, my heart picking up more when she kissed the base of my neck.

"I, I w-was just going to suggest s-something a little, I d-don't know," I started, mortified that I had even tried to start this conversation. Her eyes flashed and she poked my chest.
