"Raiden."
I spoke up after walking into the conference room he was waiting on me in. He was looking outside from the many floor to ceiling windows inside of my place before turning around upon hearing my voice.
"(Y/N), I'm glad you could come this fast."

"Of course. What is so urgent for you to call me in the middle of the night?"
"Grandmaster Kuai Liang started missing some of his Lin Kuei. He might have found the reason why."
"I understand it's a sensitive matter for him. I suppose you want me to join him?"

"Yes, indeed. He is heading to the shut down Lin Kuei Cyborg factory."
"Am I right to assume that Sektor and the other Cyber Lin Kuei from the past have been brought back by Kronika?"
"Correct. Please assist him in investigating what is going on in that factory."
"Will do. Good night, Raiden."
"Thank you. Have a good trip."

Raiden disappeared without a hassle, leaving me alone in the conference room now.

"And so I have another night of no rest."
I muttered to myself as I walked out of the room, intending to leave to get to China, where the old Cyber Lin Kuei factory was.

When I stealthily arrived at what I thought was the best place to scout the entrances, I spotted Kuai Liang underneath the platform I was on, using his single binocular to observe the entrances.

From behind Kuai Liang, there was Hanzo sneaking up to Kuai Liang, pulling out his kunai right when Kuai Liang turned around, facing Hanzo but not seeing me.

"Your hearing is failing, Sub-Zero."
"I recognised your footsteps, Hanzo."
"Where's Sektor? I will not let him threaten my clan again."
"The old Cyper Lin Kuei factory was defunct, buried beneath this quarry."
"Until the time disruption."

"Now, Sektor's returned and reactivated it. He's building an army by processing Lin Kuei warriors kidnapped from my temple."
"I can see why you need me."

"It's still weird to see you two get along so well. Although I love it."
I remarked, leading both of the men to look up to the rock I was on. Before I jumped down, I spoke up again.
"Also, both of your hearing is failing."

"If that's not our beloved ex girlfriend."
Hanzo replied, leading both him and Kuai Liang to look at each other while crossing their arms in front of their chests.
"Hey, it's a compliment, for both of you, that you were with me at some point."

As both of them hinted at, I had a brief relationship with both of them, separately of course. It was both while being under the influence of Quan Chi, after his death and after the two of them were turned back human.

As much as all of us hate to admit it, it was an on-off relationship, and even though we still harbour feelings, we cannot act upon them seriously due to our busy lifestyles and different goals in life. Luckily, those relations never put a weird tension between us, as we took it more with humour than anything else.

I smiled at them before patting their shoulders at the same time.

"As glad as I am, why are you here? I remember I only called Scorpion for help."
"Well, apparently, you didn't tell Raiden about that part, as he sent me here to assist you."

"How have you been? It's been a few months."
Hanzo asked, leading me to smile as I took Kuai Liang's binocular, walking past them.
"Oh, you know, enjoying the peace without you."
I giggled while scouting both entrances - the obvious one and the less obvious one.

"How about you? As I can see, it's been a bit tough since the time disruption."
"Indeed. Sektor's return makes me worry about the Lin Kuei's future, as he is taking innocent members from us. Also, I don't want Sektor to attack the Shirai Ryu."
"Yes. Sektor has to be stopped at all costs, the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu have been rebuilt with a lot of hard work from the three of us after all."
