It was a sunny autumn day, not rainy or humid, but with some wind and leaves falling down on the ground. I just moved back into the US, having studied and worked abroad.

Taking some time off for a few weeks, I decided to use some time to get to know the town I once lived in better again. My first stop was a restaurant I always used to visit with my first boyfriend.

I looked up from my phone to confirm I was at the right spot before a familiar voice resounded.
"(Y/N) (L/N)?"

I turned to the side while putting my phone away, smiling at him.
"John Carlton?"

Talking about my first boyfriend, it was John, now better known as Johnny Cage. He was an actor now, being in several top rated movies as an A-list-celeb.

"Oh, come on, you know I go by the name of Johnny Cage now, don't you?"
He asked as he walked up closer to me, another man next to him.

"Right, sorry about that. I didn't know you're still living here! What are you up to? No big security following you guys around?"
I asked him, leading him to laugh.
"I'm back in town for vacation, you know, I still have a place here, too."

He and I looked at each other for a few moments before I moved my eyes to the man standing next to Johnny.

"Right! (Y/N), this is Kenshi. Kenshi, this is um.. uh..."
"I'm his childhood friend (Y/N), as you already heard. Nice meeting you."
"Nice to meet you too, (Y/N)."

Kenshi had a red band over his eyes, making it look like he can't see at all. He reached out his hand to me, leading me to take it so we could shake our hands.

"So, (Y/N), what are you up to?"
"I was actually just going into the restaurant. I wanted to try out if the food still tastes like I remember it."
"What, really?! Kenshi and I were just about to go there, too! I wanted to show him this restaurant so badly."
"Well, be my guest then, you two."

I smiled at them, walking up to the door already.

"Oh, no, no, no, I'm inviting you two. I ate here not too long ago, but you two haven't eaten it in years or even at all."
"Alright then, it's on you."
I shrugged my shoulders while holding the door open for them to enter.

Johnny and Kenshi sat down at a table for four, them sitting down next to each other whereas I sat down on the opposite side, using the free chair to put my bag on it.

It didn't take long for the waitress to arrive, asking us for our order.
"What can I get'cha?"

Johnny and I looked at each other before we smiled. He looked at the waitress first to answer before me.
"The best fish and chips that you can do. For all three of us, please. And three cokes, too."

She smiled at us before leaving again.

"And that's the dish you want to show Kenshi?"
I asked him, taking off my jacket. Both the men took theirs off as well. Kenshi looked at Johnny who answered.
"Of course, you know they have the best fish and chips in the states. And it's a childhood memory, so he has to understand."

"How did you two meet?"
I asked them, leading Kenshi to look at me again. Well, look, he had his red band over his eyes again.
