Chapter 10

Frank, Zoe and Eva with clay as they walk back into the room as jade sits up with the blanket around her acting like she was just asleep.

Eva looks around "hey guys where's Niko"she asked not seeing him anywhere.

"He went to the bathroom "jade says.

"I was just in there a second ago"clay says as jade shrugs her shoulders "that's what he told me"she said.

Clay having enough "to hell with this"he says going over to a phone as Zoe and Frank rush over stopping him "wait what are you doing"Zoe asked him as Frank gets in his way.

"I'm calling security guys this is to much weird shit! Okay I'm done! They can arrest me whatever I don't care I'm done!" Clay exclaimed having had enough.

"You guys waisted three years of my life because Frank here can't read a contract. You two are not my bosses and y'all are not my friends "clay says going to reach for the phone again but they stop him.

"Okay you want us to apologize fine we will apologize"Frank says.

"But clay do you know what's going to happen if they find out what's going on here they are gonna put are daughter in a lab and they are gonna cut her up into pieces, and we're never gonna see her again."she explained on what they would do to jade who was watching them with a blank look in her eyes.

Clay shakes his head "you don't know that" he says as Frank and Zoe share a look before glancing at there daughter.

"It's what we would do"Frank thinks in his head as jade stares coldy at them clay shakes his head"sorry no no get out of my way"he tells them before the systems are heard powering down as they were consumed in the dark as the light in the room behind jade comes back on as they all look around before clay turns to jade"what the hell are you kidding me "he exclaimed before leaving the room with her parents as eva and jade were alone.

Eva sits there nervous before looking at jade who was just staring at her. Eva gets up as she heads to the door "where are you going"jade asked her.

"To find Niko"Eva says was about to head out the door.

"You know your not wrong your your thinking, I don't belong here I never belonged here it's okay to think that your right your not one of us you never were some people are destined for great things, and other people just hold the camera"jade says mocking her as eva stand there shock on how she new all that as chills went down her spine.

Just then Frank, Zoe and clay walked back in with a flash light "all right the systems on lock down mode"Frank says as jade turns her head forward as eva stands there"meaning what"she she asked.

"Meaning it's on automated if it thinks there's any danger of a contaminat escaping the whole place just shutdown"Zoe explains this time as clay smokes from his pen vape stressed.

"What about the elevator"jade asked acting normal.

"Frank shakes his head "we tried it. Gonna have to figure something else out"he explains to his daughter.

"What did you do"Eva asked looking at jade makeing the others look at jade"jade what did you do"Eva asked again.

"What are you talking about I've been in here with you the entire time"jade says as eva shakes her head "no you were also the last person who saw Niko!"she says as Zoe and Frank try to cut her off but she wasn't having it"no! No all this weird shit started happening as soon as jade came back! I mean you guys said it yourselves the serum did something to her brain!"she exclaimed as Frank and Zoe move her aside as they talk.

Clay moves in front of jade with a glare "I wanna know what happened to Niko"he demands as jade just stares at him with look only pissing him off more "I wanna know what happened to Niko, now!"he screams before his smoke vape pen shoots into his mouth getting stuck in his throat as he chokes with a shocked look as they others run over panicking as jade slowly winks at him smiling darkly without the others noticing as he was choking before he was layed down on the ground.

"He's choking!"Eva says panicking as Zoe runs to when they have a medical kit as she runs back over"Eva gets that flashlight right there we need light!"Zoe says as she kneels down handing Frank the forceps as he uses them to get what ever was in his throat out but clay stops struggling as he goes limp staring blankly at the ceiling he was dead.

Frank finally pulls out what was stuck in his throat it was his smoke vape pen as they all share a shocked look before looking at jade who was smiling darkly at them as they light in the room behind her flickers buzzing before they were left in the dark.

Zoe ,Frank and Eva stumbled around in the dark."shit of shit"Zoe was heading as she was breathing hard.

"Frank. Zoe oh my.."as the light flickers showing jade gone making them all scared as they huddled together "where is is"Eva says panting as they huddled close together as the power sizzles "jade!"Zoe calls out for her daughter as the light continues to flicker as they all look around for the 16 year old as she was standing behind them Coldy as the lights we're flickering rapidly.

In the dark furniture was heard scattering causing Eva to scream as the light flickers making the three turn around as they stared in horror. There stood jade still in her plane black night shirt that ended mid thigh as she holds her hands up that was keeping everything up in the air as her eyes where pitch black as she glares before everything went black as glass is heard shattering and furniture heard breaking.
