Two strangers

Ceria was trying to calm down her little brother before knocking was heard from down stairs she holds him tight not moving an inch just in case it was those strangers that came back. 

A police officer was out side knocking on the door but when no one answered he turns around speaking into his radio "there's no one home. The house looks secure.tell them to count there kids again"he says into the radio before walking down the steps as he leaves.

It was the next day ceria getting ready as she hears Kevin scream as she runs out her room into her parents bathroom panting "what's wrong? What happened"she asked worried. he turns around to face his sister with his hands still on his face"I put cologne on my face and it burns "he says.

Ceria trys not to laugh before shaking her head at her little brother"come on get ready we need to go to the store"she says as she goes to finish getting ready. Now she was waiting for Kevin when she heard a crash and fast foot steps heading her way"what happened now"she asked.

"I may or may have not broke buzzes shelf to get his money"he says as he pants . Ceria just blinks before laughing as they head out the door into the cold air as they Walk through the snow in the yard but stop when the see a van across the street they look confused "I thought the Murphy's went to Florida"Kevin asked his sister who shrugs not knowing before they continue walking.

The siblings where shown in a little store  as ceria was looking around with Kevin before he grabs a tooth brush heading to the front while she continues to look around before her brother is running to her in panic making her worried "Kevin what is what's wrong"but doesn't get an answer as he grabs her hands as he drags her with him running out the store as a boy follows then before she hears him shout"hey ship lifter!"he yells as ceria turns her head slightly seeing a police man chase them.

Her eyes widen as she runs with her brother "you stole a tooth brush!!"she yells as they run.

"Not now just keep running "he yells in fear as they keep running through busy crowds straight to get ice skating park as they try not to run into people they soon loose the police officer as they run across a bridge as a train hunks passing by underneath.

They soon make it to there street walking as she looks down seeing Kevin look dejected sighing but her eyes widen as she pulls Kevin back as the van from before Kevin screams as the comes to a screeching halt before it could hit them. Ceria pulls Kevin as she walks but the driver of the van rolls his window down "hey hey! You gotta watch out for traffic kids you know?"the driver says.

"I'm sorry "Kevin apologies.

"Damn."the driver says before the man beside him leans over "Santa don't visit the funeral homes kids."the passenger says as ceria nods her head.

The driver nods his head "okay okay Merry Christmas"he says with a smile as Kevin gaps with shock before turning around grabbing his sisters hand as he pulls her along walking.

"Kevin what's wrong"she asked worried about his reaction.

"That was the same man from the other night the one with the gold tooth"he explains to her brother she turns slightly seeing they are being followed by the van as she turns around coming up with a plan"come on"she says running pulling Kevin along as the van follows them.

They continue to run until they come up upon a church as ceria pulls Kevin with her as she hides both him and her in the display of baby Jesus they hide with in as they watch the van sit still for a moment before it drives away as ceria sighs as she pulls Kevin into a hug.
