"Lost for words?" Yoongi asks with a smile when Jimin removes his lips from Yoongi's.
"Ehh.. hehe yeah..."
"Cute." Yoongi gently strokes Jimin's cheek. "By the way, where's your suitcase?"
"It's somewhere at the airport I guess." Jimin giggles.
"Oh shit, you didn't pick it up?"
"No, I just ran out without even thinking about that."
"Ha, you're so dramatic." Yoongi teases Jimin, making him laugh.
"I guess I am. I also didn't even think about that I have to book another flight until Hoseok asked me."
"Mmm, lets worry about that all tomorrow. You must be tired. Let's go." Yoongi suddenly stands up, trying to drag Jimin up with him by his hand, but Jimin stays seated.
"G-go? Where to?"
"My place."
"Your place??"
"Yeah. Where else were you thinking of sleeping? The rooms are all booked."
"Oh, right..." Damn, I really didn't think this through at all. Jimin stands up, grabs his things and follows Yoongi out of the cafe and across the street.
——
Yoongi's apartment is on the third and top floor. Jimin feels butterflies in his stomach as they walk up the stairs. He's wondering if Yoongi has a second bedroom or if he'll sleep on the couch, or... with Yoongi? The idea of sharing a bed with him makes him feel nervous but excited. Even though they already woke up legitimately spooning this morning, this feels different. More official. Yoongi stops in front of his door and enters the door code. The door peeps and Yoongi opens it. He looks back at Jimin and winks at him. Sweet Jesus... Min Yoongi, you're going to kill me with those winks.
"Come in." Yoongi says in his deep voice. Jimin slowly walks passed him into his apartment. The air feels warm and comfortable. He puts his backpack down, takes his shoes off and hangs his jacket up before walking into the living room. It's small but cozy. He fiddles with the sleeves of his hoodie as he takes a look around. The floor is a beautiful dark wood with a big oriental rug under the deep blue couch. There's a small coffee table on the rug and a big bookcase against the wall, with a small screen on one of the shelves. It's too dark to see, but the windows are on the side of the sea so he must have a pretty great view. Behind the couch is a small but fully equipped kitchen with black cabinets and a wooden countertop. The room definitely feels different from the style of the cafe, but just as cozy. In a bit of a hidden corner next to the hallway is a large desk with a three screens, it looks... important.
"Do you want some tea?" Yoongi asks while walking into the kitchen and turning some small lights on.
"Sure." Jimin is still looking around. There are some large pictures on the walls. They look like photographs of Jeju. They're mostly black and white, but one is in colour of a sunset.
"Nice pictures." Jimin says.
"Heh, of course you're looking at those. You're such a photographer." Yoongi smirks. "I don't think they're very impressive but they just mean a lot to me, and I had to decorate this place somehow so I just printed those out. That one is actually Daegu." He points at one of the black and white photos.
"Oh really? I didn't know Daegu had scenery like that."
"Mmm. Anyway, here's your tea." Yoongi walks to the couch, puts the teas on the coffee table and sits down. Jimin stands awkwardly in the middle of the room with his hands in his pockets.
"Come." Yoongi orders. He taps his hand on the couch, signalling to Jimin to come sit next to him. Jimin purses his lips and walks over.
"What's the deal with all that equipment on the desk?" Jimin asks while sitting down.
"Oh, that. I'm kind of a producer." He answers casually.
"Kind of? What?"
"Yeah... I produce music. When I'm not napping during the day I'm usually spending my time at that desk."
"Wow. I had no idea..." Why is that hot?
"There's a lot we don't know about each other I guess." Yoongi picks up his tea and starts sipping. The boiling hot tea. Jimin has so many questions he wants to ask, but he doesn't know where to start. His brain feels fried from this long and significant day. He picks up his tea as well and blows on it softly. The two stay quiet for a moment.
"Jimin-ie," Yoongi then says calmly, "I know you're on unfamiliar territory and a lot must be going through your mind. Aside from that, you live in Busan and I'm here. I know the situation is not ideal to start anything serious, so I just want you to know that even though my feelings for you are sincere, I don't expect anything from you and won't pressure you into anything."
"Thanks hyung..." Jimin takes a deep breath and looks at the beautiful man sitting next to him.
"I'm also quite surprised to have you in my apartment suddenly... but I love it. I mean, just to spend some more time with you..."
"Right... Sorry for all the chaos..." Jimin suddenly feels kind of embarrassed and selfish. He's been so absorbed by his own thoughts and feelings that he didn't think much about how this day must have been for Yoongi.
"Oh, no, I don't mean it like that. I'm really glad. It's just that my heart was kind of broken this morning, and now... it's not? It feels... strange. A good strange. I really thought I was never going to see you again."
"Me too... the way you said goodbye this morning felt very final."
"Mmm. I felt quite stupid for falling for a straight man."
"Well, maybe I'm not."
"Hm?"
"Straight."
"Right. Sorry about that." Yoongi says jokingly and winks at Jimin again. The sudden confidence this man has sometimes is so sexy. How does he do it?
"Ai, hyung, those winks are going to be the death of me." They laugh and drink their tea.
——
After finishing his tea, Jimin yawns and puts his cup on the coffee table. He's been too shy to ask about the sleeping situation, but he doesn't feel so nervous anymore about possibly sharing a bed with Yoongi. After they've been talking for a while he feels way more comfortable.
"Alright, Jimin-ie, looks like it's time for bed." Yoongi puts his cup down as well. "Considering all your clothes and things are somewhere at the airport I'll give you something to sleep in. I think I have a new toothbrush for you as well." Yoongi stands up and walks into one of the undiscovered rooms. That must be his bedroom. When he comes back out he's holding some black items.
"Here, a shirt, sweatpants, boxers, toothbrush, towel... what else do you need?"
"That's probably enough for now." Jimin smiles.
"Alright. That door is the bathroom. Feel free to take a shower if you want." He points at another door.
"Thanks. Yeah I think I will." Jimin stands up and takes the items from Yoongi. He starts walking to the bathroom, but stops and turns back around. "Hyung..."
"Mmm?"
"Where do I sleep?"
"Oh. I ehh... I assumed with me. Is that... Should I sleep on the couch?"
"Hmm... no." Jimin winks and turns on his heels to continue to the bathroom. Yoongi chuckles.
