She just told me she loves me! Fuuuuck! She told me she loves me! Why didn't I reply immediately? Of course I love her! I'm obsessed with her!

"A penny for your thoughts?" Her voice startles me and I panic, knowing what just happened just an hour ago. I don't want us to fight anymore!

"I was thinking that I am the luckiest man alive." I tell his and pull her in for a kiss.

"And why is that?" She asks with a lazy voice.

"Because you love me, and I love you!" I tell her, and her eyes become immediately wet with tears. I capture her lips in a gentle kiss as she laughs and cries at the same time.

"Are you sure you love me?" She asks as she studies my face closely.

"I'm sure I'm madly in love with you! I haven't felt anything like this before!" I tell her and she pulls me in for a kiss again.

"And because I love you, I need to get you out of this bed and feed you." I tell her and she groans.

"Sir, yes sir!" She says and this time I smile. I'll put those words to a test one of these days.

"Move that sexy ass!"

I haven't heard those words said to me in 3 years. I can't even wrap my head around this. It feels surreal! I never imagined somebody would ever love me again, but the universe had forgiven me and gave me another chance. He is everything I never imagined but everything I want. How twisted is that?

I get out of bed and go to the mirror. I turn around, studying myself. I want to memorize the way I looked the day I was given a second chance. My attention is captured by my wings. The colour seems faded, like an old tattoo. I should probably ask my mom what does that mean. I put on a long sweater dress and some leggings. Tobias puts on a shirt and some jeans. We both go downstairs and walk next door to my parents.

"Hello again!" Tobias says as my mom opens the door.

"I knew you couldn't resist the smell of a pork steak!" She says and invites us in. After we finish dinner, I ask my mom to accompany me to the bedroom. Tobias immediately looks at me with concern but doesn't say anything.

"What's wrong, honey?" She asks me a little concerned. I pull my sweater dress down my shoulders and show her my wings.

"They faded." I simply tell her and she gasps. "Is it bad?" I ask her panicking.

"Honey, the wings fade only when you become fully human." She says and I frown.

"But I've been here for 6 months." I tell her.

"But even when you lived with us in Neverland, you barely turned. Especially in the last months you stayed with us." She tells me and I realize she is right. I don't remember turning at all.

"So, that's it? I'm human?" I ask her bot knowing how to feel at this moment.

"Dp you want to try and turn?" She asks and I frown.

"No!" I quickly reply. I don't want to turn. That's why I survived the crash and Bailey didn't: I turned the moment the car started spinning from the blow.

"Then does it even matter?" She asks me and I smile softly.

"I guess it doesn't!" I tell her and she wraps her arms around me in a hug.

"Maybe consider birth control now. And closing your windows when you have sex!" She whispers in my ear and I turn red and burst into an uncomfortable laughter. We both do!

"He told me he loves me today!" I tell her and her eyes fill with happy tears.

"And you love him, right?" She asks me and I smile like a teenager.

"Madly!" I simply tell her and she squeals with joy, hugging me again.

"Things will work out for the best, honey! I feel it in my bones!" She says and I smile.

"And when have your bones ever failed us?" I tell her jokingly. She chuckles and lets me go from the hug.

"Never mock the old bones!" She says solemnly, making me chuckle.

"You don't look a day older than me, mom! Cut the crap!" I joke again and she rolls her eyes.

"My beauty is a curse!" She replies dramatically and walks towards the door. I'm going to miss her very much! I wish they stayed longer!

We both return to the dining room where dad is laughing with Tobias. He stops when he sees us entering and smiles sweetly at me. My heart flutters in my chest and my entire body is filled with a warm sensation. I smile and whisper to myself:

"Madly!"
