I woke up not in a stomach, but back in the safety of the lab. Sonia had saved me. She must have been able to track me down to rescue me from that lady. I thanked her immensely.
I then managed to recall the number I had pressed to get here. 8263. It was arranged like a year, but it seemed farfetched that I had time traveled. It must have been coordinates or something, right?
Sonia welcomed me back awake with a big hug, pressing me against her chest. I blushed, obviously. This was a situation I hadn't really experienced. She seemed to genuinely care for me.
Knowing I had the number memorized, I told Sonia about it. After I told her about the device, only then did she seem to notice it. She leaned down to inspect it, before asking more questions. I didn't know how to answer them.
"So, you're saying if you can find the number that brought you here again, you can go and explore more?" She asked me, curious. I nodded, fairly certain in the theory. "Alright, just... be careful." She patted my head and sent me on my way.
I left the building before I turned on the device. I saw a number- 7263. I tapped on it, and then I was in another mall. It was different than the one I was used to. Neon signs of the faces of fuzzy creatures surrounded me.
I don't know where I ended up, but I'll find out soon enough, I suppose.
