Stanley is standing outside of the gate. The entire community has fled to hide inside the walls of Ericson's because the shooting got intense. No one knows what is happening, and Clementine and Cas haven't come back. The shooting did stop eventually, but that's almost more worrying.
"Stanley," Louis calls from the lookout tower.
"Yeah?"
"There's three people coming out of the woods over there." Louis points. "I can't make out who."
Stanley watches the trees. He wish he hadn't given his pistol to Clementine, as it left him without a gun. He thinks he can fight well enough to kill a few people in a group before he's overwhelmed.
But his worrying are pointless, as Clementine and Cas come out of the trees with what Stanley assumes is a prisoner. They say nothing as they approach, and Clementine presses a shotgun to Stanley's chest. "I lost your pistol."
"I wasn't overly fond of it." He raises the shotgun to examine it. "What happened?"
"Nothing important," Clementine responds. She looks cold and distant to Stanley, and he doesn't know her well. He does know that he's never seen her look like that.
Louis opens the large gate with the help of a few others. "Clem, are you alright?" He hurries. "We heard the shooting and..."
"Get a group together and walk that way." Clementine points into the woods. "You'll find the bodies. Burn them."
"Bury them, you bitch." The prisoner spits.
Clementine looks back at him. "You should save your energy."
"What are you doing with him?" Louis asks. "Can't say I can imagine he's our next Y/N."
"Don't worry about it... You'll add him to the pile later."
Cas pushes the prisoner. "Go."
"Please and thank you, Louis," Clementine says before she leaves him at the gate to deal with the bodies of the scouts she and Cas killed.
It was a short fight, and Clementine did most of the killing. She shot at least six before Cas got behind them and started picking them off. Then Clementine moved in, grabbed another gun and killed as many as she could. They didn't know what to do, they weren't prepared, and they died without much of a fight.
Cas and Clementine take their prisoner to the basement. Clementine can't recall the last time she came down here, but it doesn't look much different than it did. In a far corner, Cas ties the prisoner to a chair and then steps back.
"You're all gonna die. You'll see." The prisoner speaks.
"You need me here?" Cas asks.
"No. I need you rested. We'll need you later." Clementine tells him.
Cas nods. "You know where to find me. Don't hesitate."
Cas leaves, and Clementine stares blankly at her prisoner.
"What?"
"Thinking," Clementine tells him.
"About what? How good-looking I am?"
"How to get information out of you." Clementine pulls out a knife, unamused by his joke. "How willing are you to talk? You could make this easy on yourself."
"You're gonna kill me anyway." The prisoner says hopelessly.
Clementine steps forward and plunges her knife into his thigh. When he gets a handle on his screaming, Clementine lifts his head by the hair. "Everyone says that. They all break eventually. So I'll start with your fingers. Then I'll move to your teeth. Maybe I'll cut your dick off... Or you can answer anything I ask willingly, and I can kill you quick." Clementine has done this before, though Abel was willing to talk. This guy doesn't respond to Clementine. "What do you know about my daughter?"
The prisoner doesn't reply.
The community can hear his screams.
