Flashback

The air seemed fresh, so fresh, as if no matter how many breaths you took, you could never get enough of it. Tall grass waved gently as the cool breeze blew. Green strands waved back and forth alongside dark brown and blond strands. The brown strands flow more freely along the grass. The blue sky never seemed so clear; no clouds were visible from where the tall grass waved. Yellow rays of the sun didn't burn or blister but rather warmed the bodies of tanned and olive skin.

"Finny," the brown strands seemed to whisper softly.

Finny was a nickname that no one used but her, and only when they were alone. Blond Strands loved how he had a name that no one dared to utter, only from her soft lips. It warmed his chest, making him more warm and complete.

Blond Strands hummed a response, acknowledging her speech. Blond Strands dared not to move as he did not want her head to move off his chest as they lay between the tall green grass.

"Would you ever want to get married," Brown Strands asked, a slight blush creeping on her face.

She felt a light vibration against the cheek that was to Blond Strands' chest. Brown Strands raised herself off him, hovering slightly over him. Faces seem only inches away from one another. Her dark brown strands of hair waved with the wind as it whispered to them. Blond Strands looked up at her with a lazy smile and relaxed eyes; he then raised himself to rest his elbows on the grass.

"I mean, not right now," Blond Strands said, smirking.

Brown Strands rolled her eyes and lightly smacked his chest in playful annoyance. "Of course not right now, Finnick! We're barely seventeen and nineteen." She began blushing again out of embarrassment. She sat up, away from him, hugging her knees and looking at the beautiful blue endless sky.

There it was, his name, against beautiful, soulful lips. Once again, he could stop the feeling of warmth spreading in his chest. He sat up next to her, brushing dark brown strands of hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ear.

"Fawn," Finnick whispered against her ear. He could feel her break into a small smile as the muscles on her jaw contracted.

She turned to face him entirely, still smiling. As how Finnick's whole body and soul ignite when she calls him by his name, hers does the same thing; her body fills with adoration, love, and pride. It was as if she had gotten an energy boost with those words alone.

"Yes, Finny," Fawn asked breathily.

Finnick took a few seconds, studying her beautiful face and admiring everything that lay upon it. His thumb gently glided under her eye, where a shallow scar now resides due to her games. Fawn leaned her head into Finnick's touch. His sea-green eyes searched her smiling dark green eyes.

"Fawn," he began. "Sometime in the future, when we are older. I can't think of a better way to spend the rest of my life; away from the Capitol's hungry claws and endless heartaches. I would love to wake up in the morning and know I have the one that burns my soul bright and fuels every part of me. For me to be able to call you my wife is a wish I can only dream of coming true."

Her smile began to widen as big as she could manage it. Fawn grabbed his face gently as she brought him in for a tender kiss. The kiss they shared was passionate and fierce, showing their love for one another.

Fawn knew precisely what she wanted, as well as Finnick.

At this moment, in the tall green grass with the beautiful clear blue endless sky, they both knew what they wanted. They wanted to relish in every little moment with each other, to have and to hold. Even if it meant that no one must know, especially the Capitol. Especially President Snow.
