"Who are you?" she asked in a rather unwelcoming way.Her green eyes were glowing as well as her wings. She looks like a goddess arousing from the petals colored in peach. I was mesmerized of the way her silky dress dance in a wavy soft way, slowly making its way inches away from me until she spoke again.
"Who are you, I say." Her voice was commanding. It didn't leave me with bad impression. Rather, she made me more amaze. A goddess speaking to me? I could not ask for more.
"Lucien Constantine."
Her expression change swiftly at the mention of my name.
"Constantine..." she paused for a moment then looked at me straight in the eyes again. "What seems to be the reason why a rogue vampire have come to disturb my peaceful slumber?"
I smirked at the adjective she just used. Rogue. Tsk. Too overused.
"Oh so you heard about me." It's a slight surprise that a fairy, in this secluded forest have heard a probably ridiculous stories of me.
But it's not a total bombshell to know that a one of a kind fairy with a one of a kind ability knows about our clan. Our clan that is infamous for recruiting hybrids, our clan that is infamous not just because of the name, Constantine, but also because of the vampire who made it to the top of the news with only his name. My name.
I licked my lower lip when a thought crossed my mind. Then there's no need to hide what's my objective for being here. She probably have an idea by now. Lucien Constantine? Boring. It's Lucien Gualtiero, a vampire ready to taste.
"You..." She gasped when she saw my claws.
A slow growl escaped from my lips as the thing on my back sprang free. The veins on my neck were hurting me to the extent of wishing this to end. I have been waiting for this moment... this moment with a fairy that can save me from the curse that's bestowed upon me, leaving me with no choice but to live with it in deep misery.
The Gualtiero's are a group of strong vampires that can withstand the enemy's tactics but one thing that the Gualtieros are mistaken is the truth that no curses can break the chain that we have been building for the past decades.
We are feared, betrayed by the emperor we once served, and killed by our same kinds. So why must we be viewed as the monster from Silas needed to be erased?
Our existence is almost invisible because of the late emperor who ordered his knights to seize us. I don't even know if the chief, Lucio, and Lucky are still alive. I still have no idea where they are. The only idea that is left is the hope that they are just confined in a well guarded prison, tortured but still alive.
"Terror always disrupt the normal lives of some people. The horror always break the natural flow of the system. Those two have always been the problem in today's era. And who are responsible for its manifestations?" There was a short pause beneath the suspended darkness and so the tone of a quiet and rancid breath turned into a loud, restrained utter. "us, vampires. If humans have law and orders, vampires on the other hand lives only upon their physical powers. They are simply worse than animals who also rely on instincts or reflex. So we will become worst, in every way."
She stared at my whole while I am speaking. My wings reacted to that. It wanted to rush towards her but I'm trying my best to maintain my composure because I don't want her to fear me. She will not try to help if she sense that I only want danger.
"A rogue vampire speaking gibberish? I'd rather want you to become straightforward," she said.
I grinned. "Society viewed us as aggressive animals even when humans are also like it. Even you, fairies, have something in common with vampires."
