As soon as I got out from the carriage, loud crowds dominated my ears. The busy street echoed in such an annoying way. It brought me to a memory again.

The first time I heard this kind of noise was five years ago. My brain was in haywire but I knew exactly the difference between Rivalde and Silas. In my country, it was peaceful, almost no noise could be heard. Well, except at night. Happiness like this is silent but violence in Silas had always been loud and cheering.

It was quite a fvcking lifestyle. Rascals were everywhere and I bet, even today, they are still actively roaming around the country.

If I was there, they wouldn't be found alive anymore. I would have slit their throat and make them disappear along the wind without such traces.

"Berries! Have some berries! Fresh berries!" The lady's eyes stopped at us. She smiled sweetly and offered us berries which I immediately declined by walking past her.

We are not here to enjoy crappy foods. We are here to fvcking find the stupid idiot-fvcker who sold the kid's wings into an auction.

"He told me that my wings will be put into use if he sells it into an auction!" she immediately told me the truth when she saw me opening the door, readying to dismiss her.

Seems like she doesn't want to roam naked on the street, huh? She looks naked without wings and pitiful but I do not pity her.

Good choice. She'll be humiliated if people will see her without wings. This country isn't saint, you know. There will still be narrow minded people who will judge you and not help you.

But damn, I am not helping this kid! No way! This is just my ego speaking. I hate assholes. I hate fvckers who think they can fool anyone.

I smirked. Wait till they see how cruel I can be.

I was grinning wickedly when Vaughn cleared a throat. He was watching me the whole time I was planning something in my head while standing at the door.

I shook my head to compose myself from the possible reckless thought circulating my mind again.

"Are you sure you don't know their names or even the place where the auction can possibly takes place?" Vaughn asked while we're passing through the stalls. Beside him was the fairy whose eyes were glued to the foods around.

"No."

Vaughn sighed at the kid's short reply. He fixed the cover on her back when it revealed half of her shoulders.

"Watch out. They might see your empty back."

Empty.

I glanced at him and rolled my eyes at his insensitive use of adjective. He's really stupid.

"But I am familiar with their faces," she said in a whisper for people not to hear our conversation.

"How many are they, exactly?" Vaughn asked. His hand were on the kid's elbow when he noticed that the kid was disturbed by the tempting foods around.

"They were four men who tied me at the forest but I saw a woman inside an old carriage. If I'm not mistaken, the carriage had some sort of an emblem on the leather curtain," she said which made my eyes wandered.

"Emblem?"

"Yes."

Those cheap fvckers were certainly not there coincidentally. They had the plan to really acquire this kid's wings and someone is backing them up.

What they did was not just a simple act from thieves! Also, they couldn't be possibly highwaymen. Base on what the kid said, she lives far away the town. Their clan is in the deep part of the forest, far but almost near the country's border.
