Not My Love

Chapter 4

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while but I have a new part. Enjoy!

Luke and Rebecca haven't been talking or even been around each other since what happened with Rebecca and Nick. I hope that they don't break up cause then I would have to deal with a very sad Rebecca, and I hate seeing her sad. "Rebecca!!! Please just talk to Luke! I know that you hate being away from him for so long and he hates it too. Just please try to talk to him! Things will work out!" I said to Rebecca through the door of her room. Rebecca has been hidden in her room since the day that Luke and her had that fight.

"No!! I am not going to leave my room until Nick leaves this town or Luke comes and apologizes to me for having such a big ego over himself. He needs to apologize to me for being mad at what I did. I was only letting Nick flirt with me cause I don't get hit on by my own BOYFRIEND!!" Rebecca screamed at me. I went down stairs to let Rebecca cool down, and get Luke to come up with me.

"Luke," I whispered, "come with me so you can apologize to Rebecca and I can have my best friend back. Please!" Luke got up off of the couch and I grabbed his hand to pull him up the stairs, since he is to lazy to do it himself. I went up to the door of Rebecca's room, and twisted the nob to open the door, but Rebecca shut it on me before I could enter.

"Damn it Rebecca!!! I am trying to help you and Luke get back together, but your not letting me help if you keep shutting the door on me! Open this door NOW!" I screamed trying to keep my calm. Luke looked at me still holding his hand, and I quickly dropped it before he got any ideas. Rebecca opened the door, surprised to see me with Luke by my side.

I stepped inside her blue room, and pulled up 2 chairs side by side for them to sit on. "Both of you, sit!" I demanded looking at them with a strict look. They sat down, pulling the chairs away from each other a little so there is space. But I pushed the chairs closer together till they touch.

"I brought Luke in here so you 2 can finally make up! I hate seeing you guys like this! You 2 are my best friends and I don't like seeing you guys fight. You 2 are going to stay in this room until you 2 make up! Get started!" I stated and walked out. I stayed outside the door, listening to there conversation, hoping for them to make up soon.

It was about 5 minutes since I left them alone in Rebecca's room. I over heard Luke say that he was going to leave cause he couldn't stay in town any longer. I also heard Rebecca say that she couldn't stand if he left cause it would break her heart not to see him anymore. They continued fighting about that topic, but then this happened: Rebecca stated a little teary, "How could you just leave me in the middle of us dating? Do you know how that would make me feel if you left? I would be very upset for months, crying for weeks, and I would be dead by the time you come back...IF you ever do come back!"

There was a short pause before Luke said something very hurtful..."Well if you would be like that, then why are we still together? We don't even seem in love anymore! You might still love me, but I definitely don't love you anymore. I don't even think that I like you anymore." That must have hurt strait to the soul. After hearing that, I went strait into the room. And what I saw was bad.

There where pieces of the chairs all over the room, tear stains on the floor, and Luke was pinned(literally pinned) to the wall, while Rebecca was standing a good 2 yards away from Luke watching a little happy and sad at the same time. I stood in the door way watching utterly breathless. They didn't even notice I came in cause they just continued arguing.

I stood there while they just continued for about 5 more minutes, then Rebecca finally walked away head in hands, leaving Luke pinned to the wall. I looked at him, and shook my head in disgust. I followed Rebecca down stairs, out to the street, and down to the secret place we talk.

I sat down next to her on a log and put my arm around her so she could put her head on my shoulder. "Are you ok?" I asked a little afraid that Luke broke up with her. Rebecca looked at me and said, "No, I think he is going to break up with soon. But I hope that he doesn't cause I really like him. Can you help Kristin?"

I looked at Rebecca, and said, "I could try, but I might not be able to make things better, I only make things worse for you guys. But I will try my hardest to fix this. I promise!" She smiled at me and we just continued to talk and try to make each other feel better about ourselves.

Rebecca and I walked back to her house holding each other for comfort. When we got back to her house we went up to her room, but didn't see Luke pinned to her wall anymore. I started to get scared cause it felt like a horror movie. I pulled out my phone and went through my contacts until I found Luke's number.

It rang and rang until he picked up the phone. "What do you want Kristin?" Luke said with a very frustrated tone. I said into the phone with a mean tone, "I was trying to find out where you are cause Rebecca and I are a little scared right now."
"Why should I tell you where I am, it's not like she cares about me, and neither do you."
"Luke! We do care about you, that is why we are looking for you."

Luke stayed quiet for a little then said, "I am at the park, don't come." I looked at Rebecca then said, "How about if I just come alone without Rebecca?" Luke said a quick ok then hung up. I told Rebecca that I would be back after I take care of some stuff. She looked at me a little worried, but let me go. I quickly went to the park and found Luke sitting on the swings, alone. That was when I got the nerves to tell him something that I have been trying to keep secret.

I sat next to him, and told him that I wanted him to stay in town cause I need his help getting through some important things. Luke looked at me and asked, "Are you lieing? Cause you must have Rebecca's help with that crap! Why are you really here?" I looked at him and told him, "No, I am not lieing. I need you not Rebecca. I came here to get you to stay and get you back together with Rebecca. Please stay in town and with Rebecca." He didn't know what to say to that.

Luke looked at me with shock in his eyes. "Do you like me?" Luke said with a small smile. I looked at him with a little blush and said, "No, you are my Rebecca's. I used to like you, but now I don't. " He looked at me, and looked at my lips. I saw what he was going to do next, but I wasn't expecting it. He grabbed my hand in his, and brought me to a little place.

It was on the top of a hill, hidden by trees and bushes. No one knew about this place, only Luke. He placed my hands on his and said, "You used to like me, yet you never told me. I have liked you once. But it was way before you liked me. This is for you." After he said that he placed my hands on his shoulders, and put his hands on my waist. Then that was when he kissed me. It was my first kiss, the sweetest kiss, and the kiss that was strong.

I was shocked that he kissed me at first, but I couldn't let him just continue to kiss me when I am trying to get him and Rebecca back together. I pulled away very quickly, and ran, just ran until I couldn't run any more. I pulled out my phone and called Rebecca to come and get me. She found me, and asked me why I was crying. I didn't want to tell her what happened, but I couldn't keep it from her.

I looked Rebecca strait in the eyes and said, "I went to see Luke cause I was trying to fix the problem like I promised I would. When I was with him, he asked me if I liked him, I said I used to, but don't anymore. That was when he brought me to this little secret place and said that he used to like me too. He put my hands on his shoulders, and his hands on my waist. I started to get nervous but that was when he kissed me. I pulled away quickly and ran to where you picked me up, then it lead to here. That is why I am crying." Rebecca looked at me, then started crying herself. She called Luke and said into the phone, "How could you do that?!!! Why did you kiss Kristin?!! I am not talking to you anymore. Where done. Good bye!" That was when I got very mad at myself. I knew that I was going to make it worse. All because of me, they broke up. All cause of me!
