Not My Love

Chapter 14

As I walked down the sidewalk with Nick, he had his hand on my waist and was holding me close to him. I had a tint of blush on my cheeks and was smiling brightly.

"Where are we going Nick?" I looked up at him and asked with a smile on my face. "Its a surprise baby. But you'll like it, I know you will." I nodded and let him lead me to the surprise.

The sun was almost fully set when we walked up to a fenced in yard. I was confused and scared at the same time. "What are we doing here Nick?" I said with a nervous tone. He looked down at me and smiled leading me inside. As I stepped inside, I saw wood flooring, light blue and white walls, a huge kitchen, and a nice living room. Also a stair case that led upstairs.

I was shocked and didn't know what to say. "Do you like it? I knew you wanted a place out of your parents house." I didn't know what to say so I just looked at him. "I can't afford this place." Nick just laughed a little. "I already paid it off. Don't worry about it." I looked at him shocked.

"How could you pay it all off?" He came close to my ear and whispered, "my family is rich." I smiled and nodded.

I looked around the house and smiled as I came down the stairs. As soon as I was on the second to last step, Nick picked me up and spun me in a circle. I wrapped my arms around his neck and laughed with enjoyment. He placed me on my feet and kissed my cheek. "Your mine Kristin, and always will be." A shiver ran down my spine when he said that. I had a bad feeling build up inside me when he said that, but I just let it go away. I didn't want that to spoil the moment.

When we left the house, it was dark but we walked the few blocks back to my house. When we arrived out front, I walked up to my house and opened the door. I didn't look back at Nick, I just walked in. I didn't even say goodbye. I know, it sounds like I'm being a bitch, but I'm not. I just don't feel the same around him after what he said at the house.

I walked up to my room tiredly, and threw myself on my bed. I sighed and closed my eyes. Before I could fall asleep, my phone buzzed. I unlocked it and saw that I had a text from Nick. It read:
"Hey, why didn't you say goodbye earlier? Is it something I said or did? Please tell me. Love you Kristin."

I shivered at the thought of him. I have a bad feeling right now. Should I reply? I don't know, but I have a bad bad bad feeling right now.
