Chapter 3
After taking a nap I woke up to see that the sun was gone, and my room was almost dark, only light from the backyard giving me some vision in the dark room.
I got off the plush bed and turned on the light before looking around the room, there were three doors instead of two like I originally thought. I walked to the third door, it was a bathroom. How hadn't I noticed the third door before?
I went inside the bathroom; it was spacious, the whole room being white. There was a glass stand-in shower, a round tub in the corner, and a door that was diagonal from the door I just entered from. I walked to the door slowly; I twisted the glass knob only to find the door locked.
I shook my head before going over to the sink to, grabbing the wash cloth to wipe my face. The wide mirror gave me a clear view of my appearance.
My dark brown, almost black hair was in a fish tail braid to the left exposing the right side of my neck. My skin a tan color, due to my mother's Polish background and father's Americo-Liberian descent. High cheekbones, small pale pink lips, straight nose, dark green eyes, that were surrounded by small bags, from lack of sleep, full eyelashes, and narrow eyebrows. I was dressed in one of my favorite oversized black, blue, and green plaid button up, legging, and Crème ankle UGGs. Standing at five feet, two and a half inches, I was surprisingly curved, but from my attire you couldn't tell.
I guess I probably could have worn something that wasn't so casual. I went back into my room where the shopping bags sat, Gucci, Armani, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, and another store I couldn't pronounce.
I looked in each bag to find sweaters, jeans, blouses, and skirts. I fingered the denim flare jeans from the Gucci bag, I shook my head but looked in the Chanel bag to find a burgundy knit sweater, it came past my hips. I unbuttoned my shirt before sliding the knitted material over my head. It wasn't fitted so it showed off little of my figure.
There was a knock on the door drawing my attention away from the soft material.
"Uh, yeah?" I asked opening the door. George stood with his arms crossed over his bulky chest, his features looking dark from the dimply lit hallway behind him. He gave me a once over his eyes lingering on my thighs.
"Dinner is ready." He mumbled out. I nodded walking out of the room, closing the door behind me. We walked silently side by side.
"So does everyone know why I am here?" I asked trying to break the silence. After a while he responded. "Not everyone, only Boss's main security. You'll be meeting them soon."
I looked down at my UGG covered feet as I walked. "Did Beck give you a hard time?" I gave him a look that told him his answer he chuckled.
"Yeah she's bit of a tuff cookie, but she'll grow on you." He shrugged, there was meaning behind his words.
"A tough cookie? More like a bitch." I mumbled. He glanced over at me shocked. "Sorry, but it's true." I said as we walked down the long staircase on the left.
"Word of advice, eat your food, thank the Chef, and you should be fine." George said stopping outside of the double doors.
"Why are you helping me?" I asked confused. "Why shouldn't I? It's not your fault you're here." HE shrugged.
I gave him a small smile as he turned pulling the doors apart, the room instantly falling silent. There were easily thirty people in the room, surrounding the large dining room table. At the head of the table was none other than Vince, a champagne glass up to his lips.
He pulled the glass from his lips, a smirk spread across his face as his eyes locked with mine. He stood up; Vince was wearing a white flannel shirt, with dark denim jeans. "Everyone I would like you all to meet Kaelyn Samuels." Even though he was across the room I could hear his voice clearly.
