Chapter 14

Hours passed, no one entered or left the basement. I wasn't sure what was going on in the basement. I managed to keep myself busy by assisting the doctor who finally came. Her name was Victoria, but everyone called her Doc or Vic. She was a petite woman with short black hair that stopped at her shoulders and she is in her late forties maybe.

She explained that Beck was hit over the head and that is what caused the bump on her head and the unconsciousness.

While we discussed her current state, there was a groan from Beck. The doctor and I turned to see Beck opening her eyes.

"Diego! Adrian!" I yelled out the door before going to Beck's side.

"Do you have to scream? Shut the fuck up." She rubbed her head. "Good to see you haven't changed." I shook my head.

"Vic? Damn you're here. I must be in bad shape." Her right eye that wasn't swollen, gave Victoria a once over.

"You'll be fine. You're just going to be in bed for a few weeks," Vic gave her a soft smile. "Before the guys come in here, I have to ask. Did they sexually assault you?"

The air in the room suddenly became thick. Beck's eyes filled with tears for a moment before she blinked them away and a look of anger covered her face.

"You know the answer." She grumbled out.

"Well I'll leave some home test for you to take, just to check for any STDs or pregnancy." Vic said just as heavy foots steps were heard and Diego and Adrian appeared in the doorway.

When they both saw the now conscious Beck they smiled.

"Glad to see you're awake." Diego grinned giving her a quick hug. Adrian followed suit.

"Well I bid you all a farewell, Beck I left some pain meds on the nightstand. Feel free to call if anything else comes up." The Doctor said suggestively.

"I'll pay you," Adrian said following the doctor. Once Diego closed the door, he gave Beck a stern look.

"So, what the hell happened?" Diego got right to the point. Beck went to sit up properly, a groan escaped her lips. I went to help her hesitantly. To my surprise she allowed me. She gave me a head nod which I took as a thank you.

Which was a lot considering she's not a nice person.

"Well after those creeps grabbed me they threw me in the basement. The slime ball demanded that I have sex with him. I refused and that was the beginning of beatings. He wanted to know where we hide all our," she glanced at me, then back to Diego, "car parts. When I refused, they broke my leg."

"So he just tortured you?" Diego said a bit insensitively, in my opinion but kept quiet.

"Yeah they just beat me for weeks. Oh, and not to forget they left Vinny's rotting body in the basement with me. So that was fun-"

"Watch your tone." Diego snapped his dark eyes narrowing. Beck dropped her head, "I overheard a lot of things. I think they know where Sofia is."

Diego's eyes grew ten times wider.

"What the fuck? How would they know about Sofia? Did you talk?" His once surprised face turned into a look of anger.

"No," she gulped, "never, I would never tell the family's business."
