The meeting took place in a room somewhere on the first floor of the house. A rectangular oak wood table with nine chairs surrounded the table sat in the middle of the room. The shades were drawn back a bit giving a diminutive amount of light, giving the room a dark and mysterious feel.
Vince sat at the head of the table in front of the window facing the door. Michael pulled out the chair that was three seats down from Vince for me. Carlo sat to Vince's right, next to Carlo was Diego, next to Diego was me, and then Michael next to me.
The room didn't take long to fill; I started to see some familiar faces, George, Beck, and Adrian being amongst those faces. Beck sat across from me and George sat to the right of Vince, and next to George was Adrian.
"I guess you all are wondering why you are here? Vinny was in Russo's territory and Russo picked him up. I don't know what Russo plans to do with him but he can't kill him." No one looked completely surprised except for me.
"George you called Russo's Underboss, what did he say?"
He ran a hand through his dark brown hair before speaking, "Logan said they didn't just pick Vinny up off the streets-" George cleared his throat "Vinny was in Russo's home," I gasped, I instantly covered my mouth when everyone turned to look at me. When my eyes connected with Vince's, they held amusement.
"Vinny was in bed with his wife." "Oddio, Vinny was smashing Russo's broad?" Questioned Diego sitting straighter in his chair, seeming very interested and entertained.
"It would appear so," George looked at him dumbly, "But from the sounds of it Russo is in the mindset of killing Vinny. He doesn't care about the consequences."
"I think it's been a long time coming honestly." Pitched in Carlo crossing his arms over his muscled chest.
"Well now that everyone has gotten everything off their chest, how about you all stop talking, yeah?" Vince looked around the table pointedly.
"Beck, Fabio, and Anthony will go to Russo's and get Vinny." Everyone nodded in agreement immediately. I, however, didn't think his plan was a good idea.
"When do we leave out?" Asked Beck. "Tomorrow, we don't need to sneak in like thieves in the night."
"Boss, I don't think this is a good idea. I mean Russo isn't a push over. If they just walk into his territory- nonetheless his house, they're pretty much asking to be shot."
I inwardly cheered on Carlo, for speaking up. Vince was being irrational.
"So what we just wait for them to send over Vinny's remains in a UPS box? We're going in tomorrow, getting Vinny, before they kill him, and a war begins."
"Carlo is right, your plan is foolish." I hadn't realized the words left my mouth until it was too late. Everyone seemed to be just as shocked as me.
"Aren't you supposed to just be observing?" Piped in Beck, her dark lip stick pulling into a smirk.
"Cool it Beck, that's the bosses soon to be wife. Show some respect." Fabio seethed at Beck, making her smirk drop into a thin line.
"Sorry your highness." She muttered
"Beck." Snapped Vince. "Kaelyn, outside." He stood up and walked out the room. I reluctantly followed, I closed the large door behind me.
Vince didn't let me breath. "When I said I wanted you at the meeting it didn't mean I wanted you to put your two cent in-" "Then why the hell did I come? To observe?" My tone a harsh whisper.
