Adrien Agreste stood outside of his locker in school. It was the beginning of his first year of high school. He was pretty nervous about having friends. However, he met a guy named Nino Lahiffe. He was nice enough.
"So, how're you liking it so far, bro?" asked Nino.
"So far so good." replied Adrien.
Adrien's life was just perfect. He lived in a mansion, therefore privileges to the infinite supply of money goes to the heir to the crazy throne of awesomeness, also known as him. But he wasn't one of those spoiled brats, like someone he lives to regret knowing...
Gabriel Agreste was the kindest father he could ever have. He was the best among all three members of the family. He'd always spend time with Adrien whenever it was most possible.
And then there was his mother, Emily Agreste. She had the brightest smile in the world. She's helped out and kept the family together so well and so much that both Adrien and Gabriel believed that their family would've fallen apart had it not been for her.
"Well, ready for our next class?" Nino asked again.
Adrien checked himself, proud to wear his family's brand of clothes.
His golden blonde hair was combed to the right. His green eyes shined like emeralds.
He wore a white shirt with a collar. It was unbuttoned, revealing his black shirt with three thin stripes. One yellow, the other purple, and the last being green.
His blue jeans covered his legs while his orange sneakers covered his socks, carrying the Agreste brand logo on the side.
"Definitely." replied Adrien.
...
Marinette Dupain-Cheng walked into class, eventually feeling Chloe Bourgeois bump into her on purpose. Well this stinked, another four years, in high school, with this still-no-growing-up-skills-by-now person.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" Chloe accused.
"Why don't you?" Marinette retorted.
She then sat on her chair, where she met her best friend, Alya Cesaire. It didn't take too long for them to connect. Alya was fine with Marinette's little awkwardness when it came to socializing. For the Fashion Designer's life just wasn't exactly the best at home.
She's got coming-out-of-the-blue work hours at the bakery. She'd have to get ready so quickly and so early. Marinette would even sometimes get suffocating schedules. And her meals, boy, were they terrible. They were always dieted, sometimes tasteless. It was all for her "diet". That was all thanks to her father. So much for the "kingdom of sweets".
Tom Dupain was very cold. He hardly ever spent time with her. He sometimes just treats Marinette like she's nothing more than just a simple employee instead of treating her like his own daughter.
He forced his daughter to get a "decent job". Marinette loved Fashion Designing, so she picked to be an intern at Gabriel's company, and strangely enough, she had to convince her father that it was a "good job". Thankfully, she did, but she never told her biggest inspiration, Gabriel Agreste, that she was forced to do this.
And a small perk is that, being a Fashion Designer, one could design their own clothes. Unfortunately, that's something Tom took advantage of. He would end up forcing her to do: Looking "decent". When Marinette and Chloe first met, she assumed the bluenette was a first class citizen, only to be "tricked" by her.
