Adrien woke up at the sounds of his alarm.
"Huh?" He said, disoriented before remembering something.
He smiled brightly.
"Happy birthday-" He exclaimed as he jumped down the stairs and hit his chaise, "-ow!"
Adrien quickly got back up and smiled.
"Happy birthday!" he shouted again.
He got to his chair and spun around a bit before going to his computer and turned it on, revealing her desktop background to be a collection of Marinette's pictures with both her posing or in her own designs.
"Ah!" said Adrien, "Happy birthday, Marinette."
He smiled dreamily and made kissing noises towards the screen. Marinette had turned 14 and he couldn't wait to give her a gift.
...
Meanwhile, Marinette was in the bathroom, brushing her teeth when she suddenly saw Tikki rush in.
"Happy birthday, Marinette!" she said.
The scarlet Kwami then pulled out a huge cookie wrapped with a red bow. Marinette looked at him with a sweet look on her face and took the little gift from the Kwami of Creation.
"Aw, thank you, Tikki!"" She said and plugged her nose.
She then cupped her little Kwami and held her against her cheek. Tikki nuzzled against her Chosen's cheek until Marinette kissed her tiny scarlet forehead.
...
Adrien was practically skipping down the stairs with the gift in his hands while his mom sat in the kitchen drinking tea.
"Adrien, don't forget to clean your room after school today." Emilie called out.
"Mom!" Adrien groaned, "It's Friday, and I'm already doing something with Nino!"
Emilie crossed her arms. She shook her head with a playful smile.
"Fine," she replied, "I'll go ahead and clean it, but don't blame me if I come across any of your private stuff, like your Emails, your journal-"
Adrien immediately made a nervous face.
"Okay! Okay!" he panicked, "I'll do it, I'll do it."
He went up to his mom, gave her a kiss, and started to leave.
"Have a nice day, sweetie!" said Emily.
"Happy birthday-I mean, have a nice day!" stuttered Adrien as he ran out.
Emilie raised an eyebrow.
"Hm?" she hummed in confusion, "Hm."
She soon shrugged and started drinking her tea. She just had to accept that she would never fully understand her son.
...
Marinette was eating alone at a big dining table, sighing as she looked down at the table. Just then, Nathalie walked in holding a tablet.
"Your schedule, Marinette." she said with a calm voice.
She handed Marinette the tablet and the teenager took it.
"Thanks, Nathalie." she replied.
Nathalie nodded and started to leave before Marinette spoke up:
"Hey, um, my father got back to you about my birthday party?"
