─"BITCH, THROW IT higher next time!" Attiah shouts to her oldest brother as she holds one of her bigger knives that is covered in fruit juice, that fact extending to the rest of her body; especially her hands and arms.

"You still hit it!" Neteyam rolls his eyes, walking over to the basket and picking up a Yovo fruit in each hand.

"Okay, my turn." Kiri steps toward Attiah as the latter takes the knife from her mouth where she had been licking the fruit juice off and passes the former the machete.

The early morning has Attiah, Tsireya, Rotxo, Neteyam, Kiri, and Lo'ak bored out of their minds before their lessons have even begun for the day (not that they need any more lessons on actual swimming). After the few months of living in Awa'atlu- the certain village they are in- the Sullys have not only become well known with the place and how to live like the Metkayina but they have also become close with the very Na'vi teaching them how to live this way.

Well, more particularly Tsireya and Rotxo. Ao'nung less so...

Which is why he is the only one out of the older teens to not be participating in their game of fruit ninja: a game Jake had taught the kids and had played since they were little.

Kiri steps up to the circle in the sand that Lo'ak took the time to draw and gets into a position ready to swing.

Even Neteyam had left his new older friends- a group of boys and girls alike who had taken a liking to him- to hang out with the group which he wasn't regretting as he watches chunks of fruit fly onto Kiri and Rotxo who had just thrown a bright orange and green fruit for Kiri to swing at. It wasn't wasting any of the food- they still ate the fruit; it is just a more fun way of cutting it up.

The laughter, the joyous smiles and utter happiness radiating from each individual teen is adding to Attiah's likeliness to this place more than she ever thought she would. The water, the sea life- and more importantly: the people- have truly grown on her and the rest of the Sullys.

That doesn't mean it isn't hard for her sometimes. It is times like these where she can forget about her responsibilities and behave as a teenager. But there are also times where the sheer memories of past events in her life like to haunt her- coming after Attiah when her guard is down and she is oblivious, in the comfort of the Sully mauri pod at night and surrounded by her family- sleeping.

That night with Quaritch and his men truly fucked her up. The chills that run up her spine even thinking about their hands on her and her siblings shoulders, the thoughts of them killing her most dear loved ones, their guns shooting at them, a bullet piercing through her smooth blue skin, and finally them taking Spider.
