─"WHY DID YOU do that? Why'd you lie for him?" Attiah bombards her brother once Ao'nung leaves his side and when they were a well enough distance away from their parents.

Lo'ak sighs, having had the same conversation with Ao'nung mere seconds ago, "Because I know what it's like to be a disappointment to parents and it sucks."

The girl twin nods, understanding what that is like perfectly well as she and Lo'ak both share that title at times (although him more than her).

Lo'ak then turns away, ready to walk back to their mauri pod before his sister pulls him back again, "Okay, but why did you go outside the reef in the first place?"

"Attiah, I already got this shit from mum and dad, I don't need it from you too," Lo'ak expresses tiredly and a bit frustrated, continuing to try and get inside.

"What you told them was bullshit so yes, you are going to get it from me. And I'm your sister so suck it up, bitch," she stands in front of him forcing him to give an answer.

The boy grunts and lets out a sigh before rambling, "Okay, Ao'nung said we should go hunting outside the reef, I said that we weren't allowed and then he started saying stuff about Neteyam and how he would do it so he must have asked the wrong brother and-"

"Are you serious? The wrong brother?" Attiah interrupts, looking at him incredulously. "Oh yeah, because Neteyam would so be the one to so obviously break Dad's rules and take the bait! Ao'nung said that to wind you up, skxawng! Use your brain!" she lightly whacks him upside the head for his idiocy.

"Yeah, I got that now... You must have had the braincell this time..." Lo'ak replies, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck where his sister just hit.

Their mother came up with a 'theory' (more of a sarcastic joke) way back when they were kids that Attiah and Lo'ak 'share a braincell'. It came to be when Neytiri and Jake concluded that if one of them was staying out of trouble and 'using their brain' so to speak, they'd find the other one somewhere caught up in some nonsense and deep into trouble. That is when they are apart from each other. If they are together, the braincell they share evaporates completely according to their mum. Then came the inside joke among the Sully family that Lo'ak and Attiah share a braincell that bounces between them.

She clicks her tongue annoyedly and then brings him into a hug. She was seriously worried about him, especially after realising what he was feeling when he was missing. She lets him go and they walk together back home, "So, what did you see? Anything cool?"
