─UPON ENTERING HER family pod, Attiah comes into contact with her dad, quite literally. In her moment of distress from the previous moments with her best friend (unknown for how long that status will remain for), she was most certainly not looking where she was going. Colliding with her father, as she bounces back, she looks up, the self-deprecating look not leaving her face, but she still mutters an apology.

The teenage-Omaticayan-girl takes a seat on the ground in her little section of the mauri, in a moment of weakness while knowing she is the only one of her family members in there, lets her head fall into her hands and tears to fall from her eyes. She crawls into a ball, shaking as her long black hair falls in front of her face and she lets out few angry and distressed sobs. She doesn't want to lose Tsireya all because she was dumb and couldn't react fast enough to something like being kissed by her best friend and perhaps crush.

She, like an idiot, just didn't realise the feelings she was having for Tsireya were romantic. It took Tsireya kissing her for Attiah to come to terms with the fact that she fucking likes her. Not in a friend way. As per usual, so typical and expected of her to be so fucking stupid

So many things have gone wrong for her since being here. Attiah feels like she can't do anything right. And to top it all off, the same man who haunts her parents' lives now haunts hers too, and he still hasn't left her dreams.

Unsuspectedly, her dad who she had just passed on his way out and her way in is now hovering over her in the fatherly way he does. Attiah hastily tries to wipe her face dry and act as if she hadn't just been shedding angry tears. "Oh, hey dad," she practically chokes out.

"Hey, what's going on?" he asks, a comforting hand to her knee. One good thing about having Jake as a dad is that he never feels awkward about comforting his kids.

"Oh, not much with me, and you?" she sniffles, adjusting her position to try and act completely normal even though she knows he saw her crying as it is extremely obvious.

Jake raises his eyebrows and gives his daughter an expecting look, "Attiah, what's wrong? What is it?" He takes a seat next to her.

"Oh, um, yeah I'm fine. Some things just happened with me and Tsireya, no big deal."

Jake, coming from Earth where while times have improved on accepting queer people, there are always going to be cruel people in the world who are full of hate, believes that Attiah is going through a gay crisis and that she is having a hard time accepting herself. "Tia, there is nothing wrong with you loving a girl like that..."
