-Konig's Perspective-
I can hear her screams in my head. Her anguished pleas for help. Her beautiful face bruised and bloodied.
I shivered with dread as I tried to refocus on Price's laptop. I've already read the notes from the interrogation over and over again but I'm desperately trying to find something more. Reading between the lines, digesting every single word, letter by letter. Ghost and I concluded that her abductors would most likely be taking her to their last camp, if not there than where else?
I slammed the laptop shut and began pacing, anxiously eyeing Price who was still on the phone, mumbling something on the phone to Laswell. I wanted to scream, throw something, kill something. The room felt like it was closing in on me, and the mask I swore to wear till the day I die felt as though it was clinging to my skin and suffocating me. My muscles were aching from the constant flexing as I tensed my body repeatedly with every passing thought of her possible demise. Each second that we were in the dark was agony.
A part of me wanted to cross this office and slam Ghost's face into the desk until there was nothing left of him but a bloodied balaclava and his shattered teeth sunken and stuck in the wood of Price's desk. I was angry at him. Y/N told me the awful things he said to her. His words swam around in her head and tortured her, making her feel as though she was just something to be used by him. Some meaningless sex toy just to bring Ghost his carnal pleasures and that's it. No.
Not my girl.
"Laswell is formulating a plan for us, everyone go gear up and let's go get Y/N. Time is ticking and every second we sit here is a second being chipped off her life." Price demanded as he shoved his phone into his pocket, the other scrubbing his beard nervously. His eyes were empty, almost distant, as he marched to the door and threw it open. I shoved my captains unease to the back of my mind as we all raced to the armory, the halls eerily quiet and baren of life as the heavy thuds of our boots slammed into the ground repeatedly. The fact that Laswell had something, anything, was enough to settle some of my unease. I was mentally preparing myself for the worst.
Until Y/N showed up I never truly cared for anyone. To say I didn't have comradery would be a lie but truth be told the death of one of my fellow soldiers would be a difficult thing to overcome but I could survive it. But her? Her death will be the tsunami that drags me out to sea, the very thing that destroys the man that's been deemed undestroyable. I've been shot, hit with shrapnel from explosives, stabbed, exposed to toxic gases, but none of it would come close to losing her.
I'm almost positive we broke some sort of record. I've never seen the boys gear up so quick, our hands moving at lightning speed. By the time we were in the helicopter and lifting off the airfield it hadn't been but ten minutes since Price told us to gear up. Price didn't bother to fuel up. He knew we had enough fuel to get to the base and get Y/N and then to Corporal Leon's base, the rest didn't matter. We would work it out when we got there but our main priority was getting Y/N back to us.
-Y/N Perspective-
My eyes were dry and burning as I attempted to open them repeatedly. I was weak, my muscles aching and my head throbbing as my vision adjusted to the bright flourecent light shining straight on my face. No training prepares you for the nauseating dizziness after being knocked out. My center of gravity was twirling and my memories were foggy. The smell of mildew, dust, and dried blood was overpowering, making my stomach churn as I did my best to get my bearings. I knew I wasn't home but everything was unfamiliar. The dripping sound and slight echo that reverberated on the walls around me was foreign. It felt as if I was almost submerged in some sort of damp cave, cut off from the outside world. My mouth was dry and thick as if I'd been asleep for hours and my body was stiff. Each attempt to open my eyes was thwarted off by the droning headache and the pure weakness I was experiencing.
