Chapter 3

Hailey pov

Well I talked to Nico, well tried. I talked while he just slept. Very rude. He is still a cub. I found him in the forest one day with a broken paw, so I rescued him and took care of him ever since.

He is always with me. He is scared of everyone and everything but me, that is why I am taking him with me. He would freak if he was separated from me for too long.

Anyway, I am currently on my way to a coffee shop to meet my friends. Oh boy, well at least I will get to see their priceless reactions.

I walked into the coffee shop and immediately was hit with that bitter smell of coffee.

I personally don't like coffee, but all my friends like it.

I spotted them sitting at a rectangle table than can fit all 5 of us.

"Heyyy" I said smiling nervously

"Spill it" Lydia said unimpressed. She is a lawyer. She usually has red hair and hazel eyes, but we are currently wearing wigs, so that we don't get recognized

I took a seet next to Abri and Alli who are vet doctors they both usually have brown hair and chocolate brown eyes

"So what did you want to talk about" my best friend Gabby asked. She is currently an interior designer, and has light blond shoulder length hair with sky blue eyes

"Well you guys know how some people are starting to protest against the vampires taking blood" I said nervously

"Yes" they all said suspiciously

"Well the queen and king called a meeting involving a lot of the women celebrities"

"Why" Lydia asked even more suspicious than before

"Theywantsomeonetomarrytheprinceofvampires,becauseheneedsawife,andtheroyalvampirefamilywantme.Theysaidifsomeonebesidesmemarriestheprincetheywillbetreatedasapet,soiaggread." I said super fast

"What!" Gabby exclaimed standing up and knocking her chair over.

"Sit down, your drawing attention to us" Abri said, while Gabby sat back down glaring at me. Well she understood me

"So what did you say?" Ally asked

"She said that the royal family wants someone to marry the prince of vampires as kind of a peace treaty, and they want Amber. They said they won't treat Amber like a pet, but anyone else they will. So she agreed" Gabby said glaring at me with her arms crossed over her chest

"What?!" They all exclaimed thankfully sitting down

"In order for us not go to war someone has to marry the prince. Plus we will only have to donate blood 4 times a year"

"Yippee" Ally said sarcastically

"So why do they want you" Lydia questioned

"Their daughter apparently is a huge fan of me, so they won't treat me like a pet, but I will still be their property."

"And you agreed?!" Abri exclaimed

"Well if I have to no one else has too" I replied

"Honey, do you ever think of yourself" Lydia asked

"Sometimes, it depends" I grinned while they all groaned

"Anyway, I have to perform a concert in the vampire world this Friday. Who wants to help?" I asked.

"This Friday?!" Gabbi asked

"You are leaving us that soon?" Ally asked

"Ya" I said frowning

"But, we can still call and text every day, and I am still allowed to continue my career, so I can see you guys everyday" I said positively

"But you are going to be with those blood sucking monsters" Gabbi said venomously

"Maybe they won't be so bad. They could be nice" I smiled

"Well, Hailey is in positive mode now. Can't get anything negative through her" Lydia declared

"How do you always get into these messes" Abri groaned

"Not messes, just adventures" I said smiling

"We will continue this conversation when you aren't so positive" Gabbie said

"Okie dokie" I said grinning

"You know, she might just kill the vampires with kindness" Lydia said hopefully

"Let's hope" Ally said crossing her fingers

"Ha ha" I said with a straight expression and sarcasm lacing my words

"So, anyway wedding plans?" I asked excitedly, and that started our 2 hour conversation of dresses,cakes,guests, and more

I'm going to miss these people. Hopefully I will be able to see them everyday still. If not Im sneaking out of a window like a teenager.

"Hailey" Lydia said snapping me out of my thoughts

"Sorry" I said sheepishly while they all laughed causing me to laugh too.

Nothing can get better than this.
