Chapter 2

"At an emergency Hashira Meeting" 

GIYUU POV

I guess I heal pretty quickly. It's only been a day and I'm up and about walking. Kocho called me and told me that there was a hashira meeting that we needed to attend at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. I touched my clean haori, it did smell like wisteria flowers. It reminded me of her. I couldn't possibly dislike it. 

HASHIRA MEETING

"Thank you for waiting so long. I am Amane Ubuyashiki, and I will represent Kagaya Ubuyashiki at today's meeting. Unfortunately due to Master Kagaya's worsening illness, he can no longer appear before you. He extends his heartfelt apology." 

The whole room went quiet. Even Sanemi, as much of a rager as he is, had sorrow in his pupils. 

"I pray from the bottom of my heart that the light of the master's life continues to burn even one day longer," Gyomei says, tilting his head slightly. 

"My Dear Hashiras, I'm sure you have heard now that a demon is now able to withstand the sunlight. I have also received reports that Kanroji and Tokito manifested marks during their battles with Uppermoon 4 & 5. I would like them to tell us about the conditions that caused the marks to appear." Umane told them in a calmful manner, resembling Kagaya deeply. 

"During the Sengoku Period, the swordsmen who nearly defeated Muzan Kibutsuji using first breathing all manifested these marks with unique patterns." She continued. 

Everyone in the room, had their eyes widened. Except for Giyuu Tomioka who was filled with nothing but hatred for the demons. He knew what the mark was about, now he could only think of a plan that could save another's life. 

"Why was this information hidden? This is my first time hearing about it." Sanemi questioned, his curiosity needed answers immediately. 

"Many have tormented themselves over why the marks haven't appeared on them too. Most of the details regarding this strange marks are unclear, perhaps because it didn't seem important. Or perhaps the information was lost in one off the many times the Demon Slayer Corps suffered near destruction..."

"But the only clear records we have say.. 

'When the marked one arrives, the mark will appear on others around that person as if in resonance.'

"Now at this time, Tanjiro Kamado was the first marked one."

Iguro was never the type to get typically excited, happy, sad or angry at something. But even he was surprised that this Kanoe ranking boy was the first marked one over the hashiras. 

"However.. It turned out he had no idea what caused the mark to appear, so please teach us how it was done, Kanroji and Tokito." Amane added.

Mitsuri's face was enlightened with joy.

"SURE." She shouted

"OH! That one time? WEll, my body was super light!! Um.....................Umm. IT hit me like WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!Like WHOOM FWAHHH. CRICK-CRACK-POP!                                                       My heart and stuff was all BA-DUMP, BA-DUMP and my ears rang like PING!

All the hashiras turned to look at her with confused eyes thinking, what is wrong with this girl. Iguro slapped his forehead and kaburamara hissed at the look Sanemi was giving Kanroji. The scarred hashira then gave a side eye to the snake hashira and with his eye he said, "You seriously took a liking to THIS girl?.."

All Tokito would this was, ... 'pink chicken is talking. Alot.'.

"When i think back to that fight, there were a few unusual things. I'll tell you what they were." Tokito muttered. 

"Usually i will use my breathing to slow down my blood circulation to prevent the spread of the poison. But in the recent fight, i was poisoned and i couldn't move. A boy who tried to help me almost got killed..and my lost memories returned to me." The mist Hashira said. He continued,

"I think my heart rate was more than 200 hundred beats per minute and my temperature was over 39 degrees Celsius." 

Shinobu Kocho's dead eyes lit up, puzzled at how he could still move even in such a deadly and life-threatening state. And on the other side we have Kanroji looking just as puzzled even though she has experienced the same situation. 

"Iguro, Kanroji, Tokito, Gyomei and Shinobu.. They all met a tragic end. It won't happen. I promise to the God above for giving me this chance that things would be different."
