Truth revealed
"I am going to show one of the new guys." Aris whispered, pulling himself out of the vent below my bed.
"Are you sure?" I questioned as I took a glance at the sleeping girls.
"If it happens like it did last night those six will be taken through too." he let out a breath and continued "We will know we have to get out."
"Ok but i'll come with you." I pulled the blanket back up and waited for Aris to enter the vent. I followed Aris as he navigated the vents. Square grates faced us both, he pushed the cover off.
The room was silent; only a faint sound of buzzing and water dripping could be heard from the vent under the bed.
"PST- PST." Aris hissed.
The face of a boy popped up from the bed. My heart clattered as my entire body jumped in surprise. Without a sound Aris motioned for the boy to follow.
I turned quickly which allowed Aris to pass to lead the way. I followed behind Aris, I turned my head regularly to check if the boy was still following. We found the large grated open above the brightly lit hallway, the light brightened the familiar boy's face. I placed my finger on my lips, motioned to be quiet. He nodded slightly in reply.
"Watch." Aris let out. We all sat there as we looked down to the hallway from above and watched as six bodies were wheeled in on stretchers. My heart stopped.
"Aris, you were right." I let out.
"What's going on?" the boy asked, turning to Aris.
"Once they go in they don't come out, - like clockwork, they called six today six went in, they called five yesterday, they went in didn't come out." Aris explained in a whisper.
"No one truly leaves." I responded and glanced toward the slightly panicked boy. "We have to move before someone notices that we are missing." I continued as I glanced between the pair.
"Why did you show me?" the boy asked.
"You might be able to help your group escape too." I responded "something is off and Aris noticed you seem to think so too."
"What's your name?" he replied.
"I'm Aris, this is Rosa." Aris responded before going back towards the vents.

"Thomas said he would get the ID card." Aris whispered to the other girls sitting at the cafeteria table.
"Can we trust him?" Chein asked, glancing at the other table.
"It's our best shot, me and Aris are going to go to his room after dinner and investigate." I responded.
The five of us waited nervously for the names to be called for tonight. Mr Janson stood in front of us reading off four names. A sigh of relief escaped my lips. We had tonight. We could escape.
"What's he doing?" Ada asked
We all turned facing the guards, Thomas ran into the guards. An argument started to break out between the two guards and Thomas. I quickly dashed toward Thomas, the other members of his maze followed my suit.
"WHY WON'T YOU LET ME SEE HER." Thomas screamed towards them. I grabbed his shoulders and pulled him back.
