Orion's pov-
"Dude come with me tonight." My best friend Christan had been begging me all morning to go to this random party. "No thanks bro, besides, I don't wanna go to some random party anyways. Christan looked at me, hurt. "This isn't just some random party, It's Savannah Adkins party we're talking about." I stopped and turned around from my locker giving Christan the most disappointed look I could muster, but nevertheless, I was impressed. "Wait Adkins? Dude, I thought you dated all the Adkins sisters."
He looked guilty. "Oh, and including the gu-"
"Look Orion, the only reason why you don't wanna go is so you can creep on this mysterious girl that you haven't even told me all abo-!"
I grabbed hold of his collar trying to seem as inconspicuous to the sea of nosey students in the hallway. Covering his mouth I dragged him all the way to the "Janitors alley."
Or, at least the place people got their reps ruined all in between classroom hours. It was dark and narrow with two doors on each side, which was the perfect place for me to beat the shit out of Christan if he yelled. Opening a door I threw him in the first one I touched.
"What the hell?!?"
"Christan you just can't freaking say things like that in the open!"
He laughed at my sudden urgency in the situation. "Why?"
"Because... because I don't want anyone getting close to her."
"You don't want anyone getting close to her." He said slowly to himself as if trying to wrap his finger around it.
"That sounds like you don't want her to have a life."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means you wanna keep her all to yourself. And that's not cool, it's creepy."
He was right. I couldn't just act like a creep towards a girl I liked. I sighed, nodding at Christian as I picked up my bags and walked out of the closet. "I wonder I'll get to speak to her again?" I asked Christian and mostly to myself.
"You got her number?"
"No."
"Where she lives?"
"No."
"Her soci-"
"I thought you said I shouldn't stalk her." Christian's hands raised in defeat, signaling that I was right. The bell rung, and he said, "Come on, let's get to class."
Ianthe's pov-
Okay. Here I go. Pushing the doors to the high school of hell smacked me in the face filled with the smell of discrimination, juvenile delinquents, and snobbish pixies flittering around the hallways. There's just one big hallway full of lockers on either side, and at the end of the corridor two more hallways leading left or right.
This space is too big.
I Jumped suddenly. That was the same voice that I heard while meeting Orion. It was creepy and frail, as if someone's grandma had seeped into my head. But the voice still carried itself with authority and cruelness, honestly everything I never wanted in my head.
"Ok fuck that," I muttered to myself. For at least 10 minutes I had been scurrying around trying to find the bathroom. Hurray. Feeling triumph as I finally found it walked into the bathroom.
It was empty and half of the lights didn't even work. Writings on the wall included various emoji cave drawings and doodles of "Savannah's queen *S! *S for slut*" I chuckled to myself heading to the mirror. Talking big gulps of my reflection, I said to myself quietly but surely.
