When there is a call to Haseena that there is a man who is on 'the list' come to see her, her heart sinks again. It is almost like the depth she is in is not already deep enough. She is trying to get to the surface but when she has made some sort of progress, this man appears to ruin it all as usual. Haseena can feel her chest tighten and her palms sweating when she is in the elevator on her way down. It is so bad that she needs to breathe through her mouth and close her eyes to find the impossible rhythm. By the time she gets out of the elevator, nothing is getting better but her ability to hide them is exceptional.

"Hey." Her old man greets so casually that it makes her uncomfortable. He is sitting like he owns the place at a steel bench by the gigantic window. "It's cute of you to think of me when you put me in the names of people who aren't allowed in this... building."

"What do you want?" Haseena asks with both of her hands in her pockets; hiding all the sweat and shakiness. She tries to act tough and she hopes it comes out naturally.

"The document for that piece of junk in your mother's garage." Mr. Malik says. It doesn't sound like a request but it comes out strong as an order. He demands something from her again and if she doesn't give it to him, she'll become a bad guy again. "I have to pay up the bail bondsman."

Haseena listens but doesn't say anything. She doesn't even ask or blink when she turns around to leave. This matter doesn't concern her.

"Hey!" The old man yells with irritation. He is still under an impression that his kids listen to him because he is their dad. Orders are meant to be followed by them. "It was my mother's car."

"It is mine now. I have both the document for the car and grandma's will. Which one do you want again?"

He scoffs and approaches Haseena. "You act so cocky but you know, God will punish you... for being disrespectful and for being... this."

"Are you done? I have work to do."

"Also, your sister gave me some money to rent a place" He goes on and acts like he holds all the cards. "No wonder why she has so much better life than you... Sooner or later, that doctor will realize a thing or two and she will be gone. I mean who would want to be with someone like you? I know I don't."

Haseena's feet are grounded to the ground. She listens to all of it and no matter how hard she tries; they sink into her. Her heart is pounding so hard as if it would collapse.

He gives up when he sees that Haseena doesn't budge. "What a waste of time."

It's getting heavier day by day; things that Haseena is carrying on her shoulders. It is heavy and her entire body quickly starts to ache and sore. It doesn't go away although it has been days; although there are things for her to do and for her to feel. She takes her time standing in the shower to let warm water washing it all down the drain. If she washed it all off hard enough, maybe once she finishes, everything would just go away; all these feelings would just go away. She is so lost in her mind that she doesn't hear someone enters the bathroom until the shower curtain is opened. Two naked bodies in the shower should be a sexy time but now it is far from sexy.

"You've been in here for almost 30 minutes now and I'll be late." Karishma confronts Haseena whose hands trying to get her wet hair away from her blurry sight. Once her mission is complete, her eyes travel from Karishma's face to Karishma's body. "My eyes are up here."

"You do realize that you're naked, right?" Haseena smirks. As soon as Karishma is in her sight, all the troubles and worries seem to go away for a while. She is her angel and this angel deserves all the goodness in the world. "I know your eyes are up there and I also know that everything else is down there."
