We met Thaddeus, there's nothing really interesting about him other than he looks like Akal. And I like Akal.
I came to a decision about the orb. I am going to trust Akal, I always will. So I handed it off to them, I feel very nervous being away from it. Well I suppose I'm not away from it, Akal and I stay by eachothers side for the most part. I'm nervous about not being able to control the situation.
Lucius was standing next to us. I'm feeling the same type of 'wanting to keep him safe' that I did with Akal.
As we were walking through, we - specifically Thaddeus - heard voices so we stopped. The voices started getting louder so I pulled out my trident just in case I needed to fight.
I feel the itch of violence a lot.
I'm an awful knight.
The voices came to us, they were two elves. One put away their weapons and bowed to Thaddeus, which was very weird. They are Earls I believe, they let us go.
(As we left, I glared at the Earls. They glared back, but one was looking at my Akal.)
I thought I could redeem myself for a foolish moment, I asked Thaddeus if he was a Prince.
No. And there's no princes here. But under the assumption he is a close equivalent to a Prince, I asked if he has knights.
No again. They get guarded when they were young, but get left to fend for themself later. Which is incredibly stupid in my opinion. Sure they need to learn to fight for themselves, that's fine but you need to have backup! Ridiculous.
I looked at Akal and Lucius after that though.
I think they're my princes.
I have to protect them.
That moment was, unfortunately, ruined.
Evian spoke to me, they asked why I stabbed Tal.
Revenge, I said.
I could have lied, I wanted to. I'm not embarrassed for my reasons. But I know what Lucius and Akal will think, and sure, I've not been great, but I shouldn't make it worse by lying.
However.
:]
Evian asked a stupid question.
So I did point my trident at their throat.
Everyone stopped walking, but no one did anything.
(Disappointing, Onyx. You should protect your loved ones.)
Eventually, I have won that argument. We turn and find ourselves in a cavern.
We're in it right now, Thaddeus told us to rest before we get there.
Tal has a spell that allows them to cast an area into a closed in portable home, he can let anyone in and he can also not allow people in. Everyone except me was allowed in.
Which is fine.
I would have been tetchy anyway.
I am itching for blood.
Akal chose not to go in, he makes me feel so fluttery and less blood thirsty, and sit with me. We did first watch together.
We spoke about Lucius for a moment, I think Akal might feel the same way I do about Lucius.
I did ask Akal an important question though.
I asked him to promise; Don't let me hurt other people.
I refused to say the implications to it, he would say no. I want him to kill me if he sees it fit.
Maybe he and Lucius can happy together if that happens.
He then tells me I'm not allowed to do any more watches after this. And I agree, mostly because I fear there is an end coming.
Akal just went to get Evian up for second watch.
I am scared.
