Morgan and Kiara spent a good part of the remainder of the day giving each other facials and helping each other get ready after Cedric dropped her off. She hadn't heard about what happened between Harry and her because she barely left the room all day. Kiara decided she would tell Morgan about it later after the Ball. Their dates were supposed to meet them in front of the Great Hall. Apparently, Morgan turned down all the boys who asked her to the dance, so she and Malcolm were going together but separately. It worked out for both of them.
Kiara's mum sent her a long, silk black dress, that hugged her every curve. It was low cut with thin straps and a nonexistent back. The dress sat dangerously low on her back and there was a subtle tie at her neck to hold the dress in place.
"I can't believe your mum sent you such a hot dress," Morgan commented once Kiara put it on. She slipped her feet into a pair of black heels before putting on the black gloves that her mum had sent along with the dress. She put her hair up in a fancy braid and brought it over her shoulder before Morgan placed a yellow sunflower in it.
Kiara glanced at her best friend, "Please, you'll be turning heads tonight in that dress."
Morgan's mum sent her a sparkly long gold dress that definitely complimented her body and went well with her black hair. Kiara felt bad for the boys that night, especially since Morgan was single. Her best friend would be breaking hearts. Morgan looked regal in her dress with her black hair pinned up in a bun.
They met the boys outside the Great Hall as planned. There were other boys waiting there too for their dates. Cedric and Malcom, both looked dashing in their black tuxedos. The second Cedric and Kiara saw each other, he stopped mid-sentence and stared at her in awe. She smiled back at him.
Once the girls reached them, Cedric brought her over to him and kissed her, "You just keep taking my breath away."
She caressed his cheek, smiling still, "You look so handsome."
"Thank you," he replied, politely, "but I'm pretty sure all eyes will be on you tonight. I'm lucky to be at your side.'
Kiara shook her head as Morgan took Malcolm's arm and he said, "We'll see you guys inside."
Cedric nodded as Morgan and Kiara hugged each other before Morgan and Malcolm left to join the student body. Kiara turned to Cedric, and he said huskily in her ear, "you would torture me in that sexy dress."
Kiara felt his hand slip lower on her back before resting right where her dress was. She pressed her body into him, giving him a full view of her cleavage. He couldn't refrain from looking down at her chest as she told him in a whisper, "wait till you see me without the dress."
He groaned lowly, before lowering his head to place a kiss on her neck.
"Alright, Champions get into formation please. We are about to start," McGonagall said. Cedric took Kiara's hand and they went to go stand behind Fleur Delacor and her date. Behind Cedric and Kiara were Krum and Hermione and behind them were Harry and Cho Chang. Kiara quickly turned her head back to the front before Cho could see her, but Cedric noticed Kiara's sudden reaction.
"What?" he asked.
"Harry and Cho?" Kiara asked him and Cedric shifted uncomfortably.
"I guess so," Cedric replied, shortly, before pressing his lips to the side of her head, "Ready?" he asked her.
She nodded, before placing a soft kiss on his lips. Then the doors to the Great Hall opened and they followed Fleur and her date inside. There were student and teachers surrounding them as they made their way to the dancefloor. The Great Hall was decorated in a winter wonderland theme, with snowflakes and fake snow everywhere. Kiara's bright sunflower stood out against all the cool colors. She heard people cheer them all on. Cedric smiled gorgeously before taking her into his arms and pulling her close.
