It was the morning of New Year's Eve and it had snowed the night before. Kiara was dressed in a maroon sweater dress with black stockings and a black scarf to go with it. She curled her hair and put on her heels when Jenna knocked on her door.
"Hi honey," she smiled, "you look beautiful."
"Thanks Mum," Kiara smiled, standing up.
"He's waiting downstairs," Jenna informed her. Cedric was sweet enough to pick Kiara up for the dinner with his parents. Kiara reached for her purse and Jenna handed her the pink roses Kiara picked out for Cedric's mum.
"Thanks," Kiara grinned and Jenna placed a kiss on her cheek.
"Just be home by two. Three latest," Jenna told her. She was happy for her daughter to have found someone. She liked Cedric for Kiara because Kiara could benefit from having someone who was not affiliated with anything Voldemort related. Cedric or his family did not seem to have ties to the Dark Lord.
"I will. Happy New Year's Eve, Mum," Kiara hugged Jenna and rushed downstairs. Cedric was waiting in the foyer and talking to Remus.
Kiara walked down the hall to them and grinned at Cedric, "Hey, you."
"Hi, beautiful. Ready to go?" he asked her and when she nodded, they said their goodbyes to Remus and walked out the door.
"Whose car did you steal?" Kiara laughed, seeing the muggle transportation vehicle parked outside.
Cedric chuckled, "It's no boat, but Dad let me borrow it," he went around and held the door open for Kiara to get inside.
She got in and waited for Cedric to get into the driver's seat before they started their trip. Kiara looked at Cedric, excitedly, "Did you like your present?"
Cedric grinned from ear to ear, "Baby, I don't know how you knew, but it was exactly what I wanted."
Kiara had framed the picture of Cedric and her at the Yule Ball and wrapped it up for his Christmas present. She had no idea what to give him for Christmas, so she hoped that would be enough.
"I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for the bracelet," Kiara held up her wrist for him to see. The bracelet had Cedric's initials on it and Kiara couldn't be happier that he had given it to her.
"You wore it!" Cedric smiled, reaching for her hand before kissing it.
"Of course, I wore it," Kiara grinned back, "I can't wait to see your parents again."
"Mum won't stop asking about you," Cedric chuckled and glanced at her, "you should see yourself right now. I have the best view with the sun on you just right. You keep taking my breath away."
Kiara bit her lip, "No stop it."
He took her hand and pressed it against his chest, "My heart is racing having you so close and looking like an angel," his heart beat is fast and I lean over and start kissing his neck, making him shy away, "Oh no you don't. Not unless you want to make it to dinner on time."
She smiled slyly and leaned in to kiss his cheek, "I think I'm going to have to skip dinner and go straight to dessert."
He laughed, "You really know how to tempt a guy, Black."
"Tempting you is so much fun," she mumbled against his neck.
He groaned, before giving her his sexy pouty face, "Babe, you know I can't resist you..."
"You have for sixteen years. You have enough practice to get through this drive," she whispered in his ear.
"Fuck, I might just have to pull over and take care of you first," he growled. His eyes were fixated on the road ahead, but his right hand was inching up Kiara's dress.
