STAB,
CHAPTER FIFTEEN

KIT WAS ONE of the first people to visit Nina in the hospital, surprisingly. And yes, he was just as surprised as you are. She had asked him to come over to do a cover with her for her page. Truthfully, Nina also wasn't sure if she could handle any of the rest of her friends right now. They were so much. Kit was so calm and collected. It was exactly what she needed.

Kit felt bad for her, being stuck in that uncomfortable bed. The clinical scent of the hospital was bothering him, and he'd only been there for thirty minutes at best. The room was so depressing with its grey walls. And the flowers on her nightstand were wilting. It had only been a few days, so he didn't understand why. Kit took his time with replacing them with the fresh ones he'd brought along. It just felt like the right thing to do, to bring the flowers that is. He didn't know proper hospital etiquette.

"Hi, guys, this is my friend, Kit", she introduced. "He worked in the art department for Stab 9. Um, we're gonna do a little song for you guys. My family doesn't really go to church anymore. I guess it makes sense. Why would you still believe in a god after all of this, right? Not saying that any of you guys have to believe either. Sometimes, I'm not sure what I believe either. It just seems easiest, I guess. I think I have to believe in heaven. In a better place. If I didn't, I don't think I could find something worth living for on earth. I do it with the hopes of seeing my loved ones some day."

"In the world we live in, it can be hard to find hope and happiness. Whatever religion you follow, even if you don't follow any at all, it's valid. All that really matters is that it gives you hope", Kit added. "We promise, this video isn't to force our religious agenda on you. Even if it's a worship song, you don't have to be of the religion to enjoy it. Music is universal. It can resonate with you no matter what."

"Exactly", Nina nodded. "We hope that that this song provides you all with happiness and uplifts you today. When my family was going to church, we went to a church of color. Those are some of the happiest memories of my life. I learned this song there. It's called Solid. They mostly sing it at weddings, but I think it's good to sing here in this case too. And most importantly, we'd like to dedicate it to our friend Zara. We hope you enjoy." Since she couldn't bring in a keyboard, that would have been ridiculous, she had requested her mom bring in her ukulele.  "And for loooove's saaake - eeeaaach mistaaake, oooh, you forgaaave. And soon booooth of uuuus learned to truuuuust. Not run away", Nina started.

"There's no tiiiime to play", Kit chimed in next to her.

"We built it up!"

"And built it up!"

"And built it up!"
