STAB, CHAPTER FOUR
NINA EXPLAINED EVERYTHING that had happened that morning. It wasn't that long of a story. The group held onto every word all the same. "So Ghostface just attacked you in broad daylight?", Halston asked in astonishment. "In front of everyone?"
"In front of children?", Zara emphasized. That was the part that scared her the most. If this Ghostface didn't care if there were children present, that meant that having a daughter certainly wasn't going to save or protect her either. She frowned a little as she thought back to Zoey. She couldn't leave her daughter without a mother at only a year old. Who would look after her?
"Yeah", Nina answered with a nod. "Right after I got off the bus. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess part of me felt like if kids were nearby, it might stop the attack."
"So, Ghostface isn't playing by the rules. That's not surprising", Adam pointed out. Hey, he wasn't actually an idiot, you know. People may stereotype him as such, but he had actual thoughts! "Billy and Sidney broke the rule that only virgins could survive in the original attacks, because Billy took Sidney's virginity. As a fanatic himself, he would have known that."
"Okay, so we just need to assume that all horror movie rules don't apply then", Alina shrugged. "Virgins? You aren't safe. Children present? Not safe. Big scary house? Actually might be safe. Trust the creepy doll."
"So, at this point, the only thing we can trust is that the killer is never gonna die the first time then", Talia stated.
"That and keeping our phones close by could be the difference between life and death", Abigail pointed out. She, for one, was going to make sure that her phone was fully charged and on her person at all times.
Kit frowned, fidgeting in his seat. "Can we at least promise to stay away from the clowns? Man, I hate clowns."
"You and me both", Wyatt sighed. Clowns really gave them the creeps. They couldn't explain why. It was something about the way you couldn't see past that makeup. Clowns had no soul, surely.
"You know what? Strangely, I agree with this", Alejandro nodded. "Clowns are freaks. I'm convinced that they're all pedophiles."
Bianca sighed, shaking her head. "Just because Bobo the Clown turned out to be a pedophile doesn't mean that all clowns are pedophiles", she pointed out.
"Bobo the Clown came to our ninth birthday party!", Alejandro reminded his twin.
