"You know, I've been thinking..." Brody started off, her boots hitting the dirt pathway to the fishing grounds, just like everyone else's. "I wish we could all go on a road trip together." she then suggested. Yulia perked up at the mention of travel.
"Road trip? Why bother? It's not like there's anything worth seeing anymore." Violet said pessimistically.
"Oh, c'mon. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff to see." Brody insisted.
Yulia then joined in, "Yeah, Violet. It's not just scary dead people out there." she tried to convince her. "There's so much to see out there! Even if the threat of walkers is high..." she smiled.
"See? Yulia agrees with me." Brody smiled at Yulia's positivity. "Maybe her and Clem can show us around too. They both know how to drive and get a car to work!" she then suggested. Yulia smiled even wider, "Definitely!" she exclaimed.
"That sounds kinda nice." Clem then said. "I love the open road. I wouldn't mind showing you around. Neither would Yulia. She said she's always wanted to be a jet-setter ever since she figured out what the word was."
"Guilty!" Yulia said.
They were now at the fishing grounds, but currently crossing the small wooden bridge to get to it. Yulia admired the fish and scenery as they reached the old shack seen on the map Marlon gave them earlier before. Brody walked over to an old run down truck, "I wish this old rust bucket was still working. We could just jump in and start driving." she dreamed a little.
Yulia came over to take a look. She smiled at the thought of just driving. Driving where? Who knows? Wherever life takes her. "We could take turns sitting in the back -- it'd be like driving one of those cars with the top that goes down!" Brody said, sliding her hand softly over the short walls on the back of the truck.
"We'd run out of gas eventually." Violet negatively said.
"But I'm sure we'd find something!" Yulia brought the positivity back. "It's just fun to think about, Violet." she then said with her signature warm smile. Violet just rolled her eyes, uncrossed her arms and walked away.
"Where would you go, Yulia?" Brody asked Yulia. "If you could drive anywhere you wanted? If gas wasn't an issue?"
"Or a busted carburetor, or flat tire, or the transmission--"
"Buzzkill."
Yulia thought for a second, "Through the heart of a city, especially at night. All of the lights are on making the city look all bright and colourful. That'd be a night to not forget." she imagined to herself, of course saying it out loud too.
"Me, I'd drive up one of those long roads that wind around the mountains." Clem joined in. "Follow it all the way to the top."
"You could see over the whole world up there. I bet." Brody added to the thought.
"Yeah, get a nice view of the world while you get frostbite. Sounds like the dream." Violet once again said, putting her negative spin on it, but she wasn't done. "And get kidnapped in the city by human traffickers, especially at night."
Brody got clearly annoyed by this, "C'mon Vi, would it kill you to live a little?" she questioned the platnium blonde pessimist. "I've lived here my entire life. Heck, I'd say I know every inch of these woods. I'd kind of like to un-know it."
"No use of dreaming what could be. We got shit to do."
Brody sighed, "Yeah, I guess we should get to work on those fish." Brody headed for the shack, "We got spears inside the shack."
Yulia followed behind, "I'll go get them, you two stay here." she offered. Clem and AJ stopped, "Thanks Yules." AJ smiled at her, watching her walk backwards with her hand up saying, 'You're welcome,' but then rotate herself as she reached the door, soon entering the shack with Brody.
