MERLIN'S P.O.V

People screaming.
swords clanging together.
the sound of death and destruction.
those are the sounds of war.

i didn't even know what was happening. one minute i was sleeping in my bed, the next i was standing in front of my men yelling at them to fight. now i understand why my fight with Ellios was so easy.
he wanted me to get my kingdom back.
He wanted to make war on my kingdom.
He needed me to surrender or die.

But i wasn't going to surrender. i had learned a lot from Arthur. He never gave up. he never surrendered and he never let his knights go to another leader. Know he was standing beside me ready to fight.

"no matter what, we don't give up. we save the people of this kingdom!" i yelled at all the men and started running.

My knights all did there battle cry and ran with me.

All the men behind me where my family. even the knights of Camelot. i have lived and grew up with all of them, even if i was a man when i was with the men of Camelot. i grew so much with each and every man here.

know i shall die with them.

i would gladly give my life for my men to keep theirs. But i hope i do not have to do that.

Ellios had more men then i. i did not know how we were going to win, but we must try.

My sword hit the very first man in the opposite team. then all hell broke loose.

I thought that the fight would only consist of magic and swords. but nooo, he had to bring big fire cannons into this. great. most of my men have died and i was getting closer to Ellios. Ellios was just watching me and smiling. He was starring at me with crazy eyes, he looked like a maniac.

Ellios called something into the crowd and all his men stopped moving. i froze as well, i didn't know what was happening. i blinked and Ellios was half way towards me and every one had made a circle.

i could tell by the way my men were struggling that he-or someone- used magic.

"well well well, looks like your men are powerless. as always" he said walking straight up to me. "there not always powerless." i said crossing my arms.
im a child, so what?
"well, they were when you were gone"
"no they weren't"
"how would you know? you were gone"

this caught me off guard. that was not fair.

"i didn't want to leave"
"Of course not, you wanted to protect your little kingdom from me" He cooed.
"fuck off"
"ooooh feisty, how about we have a little fight later."
He really was an idiot, we are in the middle of war and he wants to fight later.
"why cant we just fight now?"
"Because i don't want to."
i scratched my head.
with my middle finger.
Ellios looked offended.
"fine" i said.
"when and where"
"The field" he nodded his head to the field outside of my castle. "at first light, sire"

Ellios bowed mockingly and walked away. i could only imagine that he was grinning. His men followed and my men fell to the ground. Arthur ran over to me.

"what the hell was that?"
"A shitty war" i turned around to face the people behind me.
"we must calm the people down"
My knights already knew what to do, but the knights of Camelot didn't.

"Merlin, what is happening?" Lancelot asked, he looked scared. and he the right to be.
"Nothing you should worry about" i said smiling thinly at them.
"now, i want you and the rest of the knights to go calm down the towns people"
They nodded and left.
i started walking to my room. i knew Arthur was following i just didn't want to talk to him right now. i got to my room after a while of walking and helping. i did not know why Arthur was in my room but he was.
