The Iron Man hovered ominously above, its metallic presence casting an eerie shadow over the tree as the Spider-Man crouched nearby, a grotesque figure with a torn mask, revealing patches of decaying, purple flesh. The onlookers stood frozen in horror, expecting the lump of hanging flesh to drop from his face at any moment.
Miguel observed the unfolding chaos at Y/n. "We'll talk later. You two handle Spider-Man. I'll deal with Iron Man." With those words, Hobie and Y/n moved in, attempting to surround the Spider-Man, while Miguel utilised his neon red webs and hurled the mechanized, undead figure away from Hobie and Y/n.
Miguel observed the unfolding chaos with a vigilant eye, witnessing the seamless coordination between Hobie and Y/n as they navigated the perilous situation together. Whether it was Hobie pulling her to safety by the waist with his webs or the two guiding each other across the rooftop to evade the Spider-Man's infectious grasp, their teamwork was frustratingly undeniable.
He couldn't escape the surge of jealousy and frustration that coursed through him, fueled by the sight of Y/n and Hobie working in perfect harmony. The unfamiliar emotions intensified as he grappled with this newfound sensation.
In an attempt to regain control, Miguel launched his neon web at the Iron Man, only to witness Iron Man soar into the sky, carrying him along for the unpredictable ride.
Meanwhile, Hobie and Y/n continued their dance with Spider-Man, a haunting figure of decay. The torn mask clung to the face, revealing the grotesque patches of purplish, rotting flesh beneath. Each movement seemed to emanate a macabre elegance as the two attempted to outmanoeuvre and subdue the undead foe.
Miguel, struggling against the unpredictable flight of the Iron Man, cursed under his breath. His attempt to regain control had seemingly backfired, leaving him at the mercy of the airborne monstrosity. Yet, even in this dire situation, his thoughts lingered on the rooftop, where envy and frustration still churned.
It was one thing for him to be feeling these emotions but for them to be affecting his ability to protect her... and his spider society was something he couldn't afford. The cityscape began to get smaller and smaller with the higher up they had flown and swerved t. The broken and abandoned cityscape blurred beneath him as Miguel clung to the neon web, his mind torn between the aerial struggle and the unfolding battle on the rooftop below
"Miguel, let go!" Y/n yelled up towards him, praying that he would trust her enough to drop blindly from the altitude he was currently at.
He knew that in the air he had no control.
Miguel hesitated for a moment, the cityscape swirling below him like a twisted dreamscape. The urgency in Y/n's voice cut through the chaos in his mind, and with a deep breath, all that was present in his mind was her voice.
He released the neon web. The rush of air surrounded him as he plummeted downward, trusting Y/n to catch him in this daring gamble.
Y/n nodded to Hobie as he swung her with his webs propelling her towards Miguel as he continued to maintain control of their flesh-eating neighbourhood Spider-Man.
She met Miguel in mid-air with a precision born of confidence and familiarity. Their bodies collided, but the impact was softened by Y/n's gentle manoeuvre mid-air, only for it to be broken once again from them breaking through one of the skyscraper windows emitting a high pitched cry from the glass.
"I've got you," she said, gasping for air. He was on the floor, and both of her arms were placed beside his head as she straddled him. She was too tired to think all too deeply, but he, on the other hand, had never been more grateful for his mask.
She crawled off him, and they both stood in the shattered remnants of the skyscraper window.
From the shattered remnants of the skyscraper window, Miguel and Y/n both stood, catching their breath after the intense and unexpected series of events. Miguel felt a wave of relief wash over him, as he took stock of the situation. His heart raced, and his breathing was still heavy, but he was alive and unharmed.
