Cameron was lying in bed when he heard strange voices downstairs. He would've ignored it thinking it was probably his father's colleagues but it sounded like even his father didn't know them. Out of curiosity, he got out of bed and walked out his room to stand by the rail upstairs and watch what was going on.
There was a woman in white jeans with with a gun pouch strapped to it. She wore a black shirt and a leather jacket. He couldn't see her face but she had long blonde hair in a ponytail. Upon seeing this, Cameron was both anxious and intrigued. He kept his cool and paid attention to what was being said.
"Good evening sir, I'm Private Detective Megan Ronalds, " the woman said. Mr Larson gave her a handshake and said, "Welcome, welcome. Please, take a seat. " She took a seat facing Mr Larson and Cameron finally saw her face.
"So, Detective, what brings you to my humble home at this time of day? " Mr Larson asked. She was holding a document in her hand. She held it up and gave it to him. He opened it and as he read, she went on by saying, "I'm sorry to drop this on you but your son is under house arrest. "
Mr Larson was confused and before he spoke, Mrs Larson came from nowhere and exclaimed, "What?! Why? " "It says here that he's been accused of the defilement of Marybeth Williams, " Mr Larson said. "Unbelievable, " Mrs Larson said, "Why would Cameron even do such a thing? " "Well, the two were dating and Marybeth is only fifteen while Cameron should be turning nineteen soon if I'm not mistaken. Maybe his desires got the best of him, " Detective Ronalds said. "Nonsense. Have you seen my son? He's a prince. And that girl you accuse him of defiling, she is way below his league. She should be happy she even got a chance to date my son, " Mrs Larson said.
"What proof do you have? " Mr Larson asked while scanning the document. " "Well, his customized belt was in the victim's room on the night of her attack. It was one of the weapons used to torture her, " Detective Ronalds said. "You realise they were dating and you know these young couples and messing around, " Mr Larson. "Even if that's the case, Marybeth Williams is a minor and Cameron would have still committed an offense, " Detective Ronalds said.
Mr Larson put the document down and said, "I don't believe this but for the sake of peace and following the lawful procedures, I'll allow you to do what you have to but I know that my son will be proven innocent. " "I love your optimism. You should keep it up because both me and the Williams family are hell bent on finding out the truth. And don't worry, once Marybeth is able to talk, we'll hear the truth ourselves. If you don't mind, can I see your son. I brought him an anklet for being a suspected bad boy, " Detective Ronalds said.
She looked up and saw him. He took his hands off the rail and walked downstairs to where she was. He kept looking at her the whole time. "Cameron, can you believe it? This woman thinks..., " Mrs Larson said. "That I defiled Marybeth, " Cameron interrupted, "I heard her. I heard everything. Where's my anklet as you call it? " Detective Ronalds looked at him and got the gps ankle monitor from a new box. Then she went on one knee and put it around Cameron's ankle and pressed a few buttons to get it running.
She stood on her two feet and said, "If you go further than your house for more than five minutes, we'll be alerted. If you take it off, we'll be alerted. Just be a good boy and stay at home until the case is sorted. We would have put you in a cell but the Williams would love to keep this down, as much as you do. "
Cameron kept looking at her when she said, "What happened to your forehead. " Cameron kept his cool and said, "I slipped and hit my head on my bathroom sink. " "Okay, if you say so. I have an investigation to attend to starting now. I just need e few pictures of you so please come to this plain wall for me, " Detective Ronalds said leading him to the part of the wall plain enough. As she took his pictures, he asked, "What are the pictures for? " "Documentation, we're going to record everything related to you and this case whether for or against you so yeah, we need your pictures, " Megan said. When she was done, she said, "Well, I'll be off now. See you on Monday. "
